how many oz should my 11 year old be having? i know evey baby is diff but some ideas please. xx

I think at that age mine were taking about 8-9 ozs but were on full fat cows milk xx

Omar takes 2 formula feeds 5-7 oz each & small cow milk feed (3-4 oz) in the afternoon. Once they'r one I think they need 2 glasses of milk around 5-6 oz each.

Daily it should be in the region of 15-20oz, but some of that can come from milk or other dairy in food.

If I remember right the recommendation here was 16-24 ounces a day but Hannah was always under that, she never did take in as much as I was told she should

Hi I agree with Vickie. 16-24Oz's sounds about right. We are under a dietician for lactose intolerance and we were advised not to drop below 16oz's of milk for our 1 year old.

Alot of babies though wont drink that much and as long as there is plenty of dairy in the diet I dont think it is a hug deal if you are struggling to get that much in. If your baby takes more I dont think it will do any harm, go with your baby.

Hope this helps

My LO loves his milk and is still drinking 3-4 8oz bottles per day, on top of three meals and snacks!Think this is too much really but can't seem to get him to want to reduce ;)
