11 weeks 2 days pregnant spotting

Hi

i am new to this forum but I'm feeling pretty freaked out as I am 11 weeks 2 days pregnant and yesterday I started spotting brown discharge and now pink and have mild cramping. I have had 2 miscarriages in the last year one at 9 1/2 wks the other 8 1/2 wks.
i had a scan yesterday and everything was fine, baby right size and moving about but I had scans with my previous miscarriages and they were fine.
I am rhesus negative but they wont give me anti d until I'm 12 weeks.
Does anyone know of any further tests I could have, not sure if hormone tests are relevant at this stage or if anyone knows about placenta previa at this early stage??

Get in touch with your doctor hun and tell them you have pains and spotting. I've also had a MC and I think its better to be overly cautious. Chances are everything is fine but better to be safe than sorry!

Thank you all, I've got an appointment this morning but I can't see that they will do anything as the EPAC didn't suggest anything after having the scan yesterday. I'm hoping though they they might run some blood tests. I did ring my midwife but they didn't suggest anything other than contacting EPAC but I didn't see the point as I was there yesterday!

Hi hun my sister started spotting with brown cm and pinkish blood followed by cramps and backache for 3 days. She was 11w6

She was convinced she was misccarying especially as she had a mc previously.

Anyway the earliest a scan could be booked for her was 4 days away so she paid for a private scan and everything was fine!

There was no answer for the spotting but it cleared up within the week, hard i know but try not to worry.

If it gets any worse get yourself to a & e during the day where they are very likely to do ano9ther scan to confirm all is good! x

i had bleeding in my 11th week. Went to A&E with it due to having a previous miscarriage. As it was brown blood was told that it was old blood and probably nothing. If the blood turn red and or had cramps then it could be something. I also passed a little clot but the doctor said they only need to worry if the clot is the same size or bigger than 50p coin. Im also rhesus negative and was told i didnt need the anti d jab till i was 12 weeks.

Anyway the outcome was a healthy baby boy born in April.

Try not to worry. Bleeding is rather common and can be down to many reasons.

Thanks again for the replies. They are very reassuring. Just been to GP and she said there aren't any further tests to be done right now and I just have to wait and see, she rang EPAC for me but they won't give me another scan unless I pass clots. So just a waiting game and hopefully it will all settle down. I have been signed off work for the rest of the week so just have to try and distract myself and rest!!
