12 weeks looks like girl from potty shot, boy from side

I had my nuchal scan last week at 12+1 and the technician asked if we wanted to see the gender.

She looked first at the potty shot and said it looks like a girl, then later when she was looking from the side she said that from that angle it looks like a boy. When I saw the potty shot I thought I saw 3 lines before she said girl but I don't know what to look for from the side.

Which view is more reliable at this stage?

We didn't get a pic of the potty shot at all and the side view pics are all really bad quality, tiny and printed on normal paper instead of the scan paper.

I think the pics would only be good for the skull theory but I'll try to post them tomorrow anyway to see what people think!

12 weeks is too early to know for sure. Because potty shots can look the same for boy and girl at that point.

What are they looking for from the side at this point?

I kind of wish she had never said anything about the gender as I know they can't really tell at this point. We actually didn't find out the sex of our first baby because I didn't want to be told the baby was one gender and it turned out to be another.

I got excited when she said it looks like a girl but then right at the end of the scan she said "oh it looks like a boy from the side."

I'm still trying to sort my camera out so I can post pic.

Still way too early imo. I think it's more accurate towards 15-16 weeks
