12 weeks today - I can breathe stomach in so it's concave. can't feel uterus.

My stomach is squishy. I can breathe in so it's concave. I can't find any uterus. I have had one successful pregnancy, 2 mcs and a mmc. My morning sickness has eased off too. I had hg with dd.
I wrote this exact same post back in dec 14 at 11+5 about having a concave stomach and easing morning sickness and then the 12 week scan showing baby had died around 9and a half weeks.
My scan is next week at 13 weeks.

Did your stomach feel squishy at 12 weeks not with your first pregnancy? It's going to be a long week. I wish I had bought a doppler.

I don't even feel anything in my stomach at all. I remember a buzzing of life with dd.

Please I'd love to hear some positive stories.

I was the same at 12 weeks, I looked like I had a bump, but it was just bloat because I could suck it in and the bump was gone when I layed down. At 12 weeks your uterus is probably still within your pelvis, it doesn't usually move up out of the pelvis and into your abdomen until a few weeks later, so it's normal to have a squishy stomach and to not be able to find the uterus at this point. Try not to worry!

I wrote almost the same post just before 12 weeks a few years ago. Ultrasound showed a happy squirmy baby. Symptoms will completely fade around the 12 week mark for a lot of woman and pp is right that your uterus is still hidden underneath pelvic bone. Placenta is almost formed and taking over progesterone production which means less bloat.
I'm sure everything is just fine.

Thanks Ladies.
After my losses I am so scared I'm not going to hold my baby in my arms. I'll try to rest easy until Thursday when I have a midwife's appointment. i really hope she can try to hear for a heartbeat because If we can hear one I'll feel so much better.

I just remember having an actual tiny bump at 11 weeks with DD and people say you're supposed to show earlier with the second.

The whole showing earlier with subsequent children is really something I'm starting to wonder whether or not it just has more to do with the actual woman rather than just subsequent pregnancies...here's the reason why-I thought for sure I would definitely show early this is my 5th pregnancy but I've had 2 go to term and this one seems like it will go to term as well, anyhow I wasn't really really visibly showing until around 17 weeks, by all accounts based on the number of pregnancies and I'm super short, I thought I would have showed earlier but I totally didn't...

I have a Doppler and to my surprise the heart beat is really low down, right on my c section scar which is below the hair line! They really do sit really low at 12 weeks. Hope the week goes quickly for you and you have a lovely midwife visit on Thursday x
