12wks pregnant job contract just ended.

Hi Im 12 wks pregnant and my job contract has just ended. I have worked for the same employer for 18months, I know I wont get smp but do i qualify for MA? I have no job to go on to, i could potentially go self employed if i need to.
Im so confused by the test period 66wk thing, also if im entitiled to it would it begin at 29wks if i am still unemployed? ( I'm in UK)

yes if you meet the qualifying period, then it starts ( or you can defer the start) at 29 weeks but you cant apply until you are 26 weeks. There is a table with the form that helps you identify if you meet the qualifying period or you can do it on the dwp website. xx
