Can anyone give me some tips on how to find my baby's heartbeat with a fetal doppler (I have an Angelsounds) at 13+ weeks? I found it once at 12+ weeks and yesterday when I tried, I couldn't find it. Any tips anyone?

Sorry ladies, bumping this up. I'd like to find my baby's heartbeat now...

I found mine once last week and haven't been able to find it since! I thought I might have found it yesterday but I might have been imagining it! So I shall keep an eye on your thread to see if anyone can help us :) x

Morning Springtime! I have one of these and even at 15 weeks its still quite hard to locate the HB, what I do is have a full bladder and lie on my back and place the monitor just above my pubic bone slightly off centre to the right and push gently, if you hear something resembling a slow steam train that's your heartbeat and the placenta makes a whooshing sound, if you pick up the placenta then the baby will be close by. Also propping your bum up on a cushion can help :-) xx

just try very low down on your pubic line and just underneath your belly button if you can hear a whooshing sound the baby will be very close to that good luck xx

I'm a pro at mine now, but yes. Very low down.
I lie down with my legs flat and that tends to help. I also use in ear headphones rather than the ones that come with the doppler. They seem to work better and i can hear even more =]

I am 13 weeks and I have a sonoline B and I listen to my babies hb everyday. (I'm addicted )

I can usually find it in 60 seconds or less. I lay down on my bed. It's almost halfway from my pubic hair to my belly button. I make small movements and tend to tilt the wand rather than slide it allover the place. I put the sound up as high as it can go and listen closely for the "galloping horse" sound. Hopefully my tips help. Good Luck!! :flower:
