Did anybody do this? I have found a bunch of places that offer it and two in particular that are very experienced with great reviews.. I got my son's at 16 weeks though at 13 weeks they had told me already. This time my baby was practically doing flips and the lady couldn't see so well.. took a long time and very hard pushing just to get the NT scan done.

I am wanting to know so much what we're having so we can start planning and buying! I am so anxious...so I was wondering if anybody else has done the 14 week gender scan and how it went.. it seems to be pretty accurate I suppose.

It does seem a bit early to be 100% confident. As far as I am aware, they will be more confident to say boy than girl. They guessed at girl in my nt scan (I was 14+2) but it wasn't confirmed until gender scan at 16+5 - even then they weren't 100%. Again at my 20w scan they guessed girl. Most of the people I have heard who found out early are having boys - I guess a meat and two veg are unmistakeable if they are seen, however they could be missed as the ultrasound only takes a cross section. That's why boys are easier to sex than girls!

With dd at 12+6 I was told almost certainly girl, confirmed at 14+5 :) I had a good tech though that had been doing this 18 years and she was so confident, she did nearly all my ultrasounds during my pregnancy with dd!!!! :)

I think if I was told boy at 14 weeks I would probably believe it. I had a gender scan at 15 weeks and was told definitely a girl, shown the 3 lines, etc. I still didn't believe it, so had a re-scan at 16 weeks at a different place (I went in pretending I had no idea of gender) and was also told definitely a girl and shown the 3 lines. I'm still doubtful! Moral of my post: if you're told boy, it's easy to believe. But if you're told girl, you might keep seeking confirmation forever! Lol. I personally would wait one more week and have one done at 15 weeks.

I did my 14 week gender reveal at a private studio where the lady is well known. It was totally worth it because I loved the whole experience and when my baby was being super stubborn, she knew exactly how to get her to move so I trusted her. She said girl and it was confirmed at my 19 week scan. I got 3D done way early because my OH doesn't want to see her face until birth, to keep it a surprise.

I had my scan at 13+3 and with one of my other kids at 14 weeks both were told it's too early to tell and can't really tell until 16 weeks. Personally I wait at least if you do it's more accurate and easily seen if in.right position.

thank you all, well I have a full week of activities so it looks like it will have to wait until the week after anyways! Can't wait though!

I was told at 13 weeks and some change 99% certain it was a girl. And it very much was. Now I'm trying to convince hubby to go early again. I say do it. A couple of my local places will have you come in again if they can't tell you for certain. Ask if any of your places offer that.

At my last scan at 13 weeks 2 days the ultrasound technician said they can normally take a pretty good guess but after a while of looking and thinking she said it was actually too close to call - all depends on the angle of the "nub" and our little ones nub was leaning towards the upright angle a boy has but as she moved the ultrasound around my uterus it looked slightly down from other angles so she said she wouldn't be able to make an educated guess. Its so hard to wait but I definitely think having a very accurate and definite decision from the technician is worth the extra waiting!

I just had a gender ultrasound as after my 12 weeks scan (where the dr said boy) I just knew it wasn't a boy! The lady who did my ultrasound said after a second, definitely a girl! Baby was measuring around 14+2. I asked her if she's ever been wrong and said said no, and that at 14 weeks it's reliable. I could clearly see three white lines but of course I still doubt it in my mind. Can't wait for my 20 week one to confirm if!
Haha, justplay91- I'm so tempted to do what you did and get another one done in a week!

With my first baby the doctor said 90% sure it's a boy at 12 weeks. Had a private scan at 13 weeks and the technician also guessed boy. At 16 weeks my doctor confirmed a girl! With this pregnancy a fetal specialist said girl at 12 weeks. Can't wait to see what my doctor says at 16 weeks.
