Anyone experiencing or experienced migranes at week 14.. Migranes with vomiting.

I'm 14+5 and had the worst headache all day today. It won't go away. From the moment I woke up til now just before bed. I never had this in my last pregnancy but I'm experiencing it now. It's very painful. Wish I could do something about it! Hang in there you're not alone.

I don't get vomiting with the headaches, but they are WICKED. Worst headaches I've ever had and completely debilitating.

I've suffered from migraines and tension headaches since I started my period when I was 12. I got a reprieve during the 1st trimester and now they've been coming back. I haven't thrown up...just dry-heaved a lot. I'll take tylenol and chug a glass or 2 of water...which helps a little. Then I make the OH massage my head until I fall asleep.

This is word-for-word from a pamphlet my midwife gave me:

"Make sure that you are getting plenty of healthy protein rich food, are drinking enough water and taking time to rest/de-stress. A drop of Lavender essential oil can be rubbed between 2 fingers and applied to the temples (avoiding eye area). If it is a stress/tension headache try a cup of chamomile tea with a few drops of rescue remedy in it, lay down with a cool compress on head and neck and breathe deeply. Scullcap is a pain-relieving herb that can be taken in tincture form to ease discomfort. If you are having frequent headaches and/or seeing spots let your midwife know immediately."

This is from a list of herbal remedies for pregnant women.

I had migraines before pregnancy, but they got worse once I hit the end of my first trimester. I never had vomitting with them, though. However, my mom and brother get migraines (obviously not from pregnancy :haha: ) and they'll sometimes be sick, so I think it's a relatively common occurrence with migraines.

What works for me is taking some tylenol and laying down with an ice pack on my head. Preferably in a dark, quiet room with no tv or computer on. Caffiene will sometimes help a little, too, but just make sure that you have it in moderation.

I hope you can find something that helps you. :flower:
