As the title reads... When I was ttc and just before we found out cervix was so high I couldn't reach at all to check it. I dont like to fiddle! I just check out of curiosity and cause after two big babies before this pregnancy my cervix was a bit lower than before I had kids so I checked tonight and could feel it. It's still higher than usual but I'm worried that I can feel it and I've been on my feet all day working and have been having achy feelings down in the nether regions on and off today. I hope everything is ok! Anyone have any reassurance for me?

Also it's quite soft... Really soft. I had clean hands don't worry! I know the whole infection drill! I didn't feel about for very long at all and certainly didn't prod or anything!

Hi! :) This is my first pregnancy and actually one of the first things I noticed was that my cervix seemed lower! Everything in general seemed a bit lower to be honest.. So I wouldn't worry if I were you :flower: so far as I know anyway! Haha..

This may be totally TMI, but I also noticed that my cervix was pretty low and soft, which concerned me. But then I had a bowel movement  and checked it again that night and it was way back up high again. So I think sometimes a full colon can sort of push your cervix down, seeing as they're so close together.

Mine was really really low and soft in early pregnancy. I only noticed it because sex felt funny. Brought it up with a consultant and she said it was totally normal, and that they don't worry about cervix position.

My dr said that mine was very low, like only and inch inside the opening. He wasn't concerned but I am. Yours sounds much higher than mine, so I wouldn't worry at all.

Aw thank you all! I feel much better now! You'd think after two I'd relax! And trust me no such thing as tmi! Dignity at the door! X

Girls dont fiddle around with the cervix, doctors dont even want to do internal examination unless you are high risk. It just increases risk of stimulation and infections. Positions change throughout the day and is suppose to be softer in pregnancy from what I was told.

As long as you haven't got your fingers up there constantly, fiddling and prodding the cervix, and your hands are clean you will be fine. Some women have to use prometrium vaginally during pregnancy. And a low cervix will be stimulated during sex anyway.
