16 days late on AF, spotting but BFN ??

Hello, my sister is currently 16/17 days late for her AF, she started spotting light pink discharge, then few days later a browner discharge, she's done 2 pregnancy test and they have both said negative ? what can this be?
If she was to be pregnant she would be 6weeks gone, wouldn't she have a BFP by now?

This happened to me in September. I was 2 weeks late with pregnancy symptoms, but all bfn tests. AF ended up showing up at about 16 or 17 days late. Hope this helps!

This can be caused by stress, or lack of sleep. In fact there are many reasons other than pregnancy that can cause a delayed period. I had the same thing happen to me I took 1 pregnancy test and literally started my actual period a few days later. Sometimes that pink discharge is just the start of a normal period and the brown discharge is part of the period just older blood.
