Did anyone have a 16 week scan and was told the crown to rump length of baby? According to baby centre my baby should be measuring well over 11cm but at the scan was just over 10? I'm wondering if babies size could effect the results of the gender scan (which I'm not overly convinced is correct). What size were all your babies at this stage? X

Did you go to baby bond? They didn't even measure mine! How did it go hun? X

I used a different company hun wish I had waited a few days and used babybond now though as they were crap. Scan all went well and he's looking healthy ;) just not convinced that he is a he lol and thought if baby is measuring smaller then the norm that it may be that the genitals are still swollen and unde developed. He had no obvious willy like my other boys did at the same gestation x

I had a scan at 16 weeks 2 days they didn't give me a crl of baby but he was defiantly a boy will find the pic now xxx

We had a gender scan at 16+2 at MYB in Leeds, they measured CRL and told us 10.4 or 10.5, made me worry as I thought baby should have been 11.5 by then. By 21 week scan baby was pretty much spot in with a big belly. The gender they told us was correct but tbh I couldn't see it in the scan either and I'm not sure if it was just a lucky guess on their part as baby was so active we couldn't even get a decent photograph. But the gender they gave us did match the 21week scan. I don't think length of baby means tge axe organs are any less well developed and crl isn't very accurate at 16 weeks because baby is usually a little curled up.

I had a gender scan last Sunday at 16+3 and it was clear to see that our baby was a boy! I used BabyBond and whilst they didn't tell use what the CRL was, I think it was 12.3cm. The only reason I say that is that we have a 4d scan, which gives is the 12cm measurement, then the 2d scans show a measurement of 15.5cm, which I guessed was the sac.

If you're not satisfied, I'd phone them back and ask them to rescan you x

Thanks ladies. I thought if baby was measuring behind slightly his/her development wouldn't be as formed as it would have been at the correct gestation.

I used MYB too rainbow wish I had waited now though and gone with babybond. I was one of the last to be booked in that day and had to go for a walk as baby was in an awakard position. I feel like she rushed it only got one decent pic of babies profile the rest are face on and pretty much indentical or of his bits. The DVD was the same she moved the probe so quickly you don't get to see baby properly just bits and pieces of him. Was rubbish compared to babybond who I have used in previous pregnancies.

Not sure how far a complaint would get me though :(

Hannah one of my pics looks similar to yours but there is no definate penis like there was with my boys. I knew straightaway they were boys on their scans before they told me but this one as I couldn't see no willy I just assumed it was a girl til she told me otherwise.

Going to a different place in a couple of weeks so the kids can see him on screen of which I'm sure by then if he is a boy he will be showing it off ;) x

I think you'll have to go again or get it confirmed at the nhs one. :hugs:
I know if I wasn't sure I'd drive myself bonkers lol! Fab news baby is doing great :cloud9: but certainly sounds like you're none the wiser with gender. I had an iffy one at 20w with ds1, I think position makes a huge diff. He was confirmed boy easily when I went for a private scan not long after tho. Did they give you a potty shot print out? My little boys bits were blindingly obvious at the same stage as you with both ds2 and this one (ds3!) xxx

Ps. Babybond do a 10 min gender only one now for £39. 18-22w xx

I think that even if baby is small that they still have everything at the same gestation. The reason I say this is when RR died I didn't know if she was going to be like a 19 weeker (the size she was) or a 24 weeker (her gestational age) and she most certainly was like a 24 weeker, just a small version. However the smallness could make it not as clear.

Yes I am driving myself bonkers dan-o 90% of me tells me she's right but there is that 10% of me that isn't convinced as with Lewis and Harley they both had their winkys sticking out proud and this one it's more like a nub then anything else. Yep got a potty shot just need to get round to getting on the p.c to transfer them off the disc.

Booking with a local centre either next week or the week after so hopefully will know for sure then.

Tasha when Jessica was born she should have been at least the size of a 17 week baby (last point of when I had seen her alive) but she measured at 15 weeks and the midwife wasn't sure of her gender at first and when we looked we could see why which is why it put the doubt there in my head not to mention making me worry this baby will have the same fate hopefully next scan will show some growth.

Kicking myself for not just waiting that bit longer to find out the gender. I was so sure it was a girl every part of my being felt it was a girl and now I'm in limbo not knowing for sure. X
