I feel so stupid. I tripped over something. I caught myself with my leg, but my upper leg (thigh) went into my bump as a put my leg out to catch myself and my torso went down towards my leg from the trip. I had tummy pain for a few minutes. My torso/bump was going down to my thighs fairly fast though, so I'm worried the impact jarred baby.

Anyone have experience with tripping in pregnancy?

Baby is so well protected in there I wouldn't worry unless you experience continuous pain or bleeding etc. I am always tripping up, over, down, you name it... I have the ability to trip over air and baby is all OK.

:hugs:

Short of falling down a flight of stairs etc. I wouldn't put much worry in it. :)

Last pregnancy at around 28 weeks, I fell down three stairs into my car-bump first.
Baby was 100% okay so they are definitely well protected in there. :)

I have fallen down the stairs and then outside whilst carrying DS2 already this pregnancy don't know why I've gone so clumsy. I was tender for a couple of days but baby is fine. They are well protected. Unless you notice bleeding or cramps or you want reassurance then obviously seek a medical opinion but I'm sure all is fine hunny x

No bleeding in anything. It wasn't that bad, but definitely scary. I'm very nervous about falling. Praying baby is doing good.

If you worry too much I would get checked out! Especially if you don't feel kicks regularily.
In my first pregnancy I fell flat on my bump like a tree log. He was fine but back then my stomach was almost completely flat.

I didn't call but I am still worried. I worry I squished baby with my thigh :(

You can't squish baby. It's well protected in a big bubble of water. Trust me, it would take A LOT for baby to feel any effect of what's going on outside. On another thread, someone mentioned breaking a rib and baby was fine!

Thanks for everyone's replies. I saw the doctor today and heart baby's heart beat; I guess everything is OK!
