16w sharp pains- is this normal??

Hey girls,
Trying not to worry as I am a worry wart. I am 16w by LMP today.

Today I had a really sharp pain inside my uterus near my left side belly button. Took my breathe away. It was sharp and not a twinge or a tug

then since then I have had some pains on either side of the uterus- not as breathe taking as earlier but still enough to cause me concern. Is this round ligament pain or should I be worried.

Sounds normal... but give your midwife a quick call, otherwise you will just worry regardless of what we say I've had some mega sharp pains that really do take my breath .. wish my uterus would just stretch already and be done with it!!!

That ligament pain can really get you. Has brought tears to my eyes on more than one occassion. Like debs said tho just call your midwife for your own sake.

Hi hun, it sounds like round ligamemt pain to me too. I had it really bad with my last pregnancy, I spent a few times curled up in a ball in tears. I don't really have any advice on how too help it other than trying to turn different ways until it's not so bad. It really sucks though. Good luck
