So had my check today and mw was surprised how big my uterus was.... she said are your dates correct ( ive had scan at 13 weeks and they moved my dates forward 4 days) does anyone know why this may be? ive had two healthy babys and never had this, mw just said we will keep an eye?!!! can anyone shed any light?

My first guess would be its your third they expect this to happen quicker.
Im feeling my baby at times just below belly button and this is my third.
Also your torso length comes into it.
I wouldnt worry, see what they say at your next scan.

Thank you, I was thinking its just because its my third but she seemed so surprised! x

I'm on my first and my uterus was at my belly button at 12 weeks, apparently it just means that my uterus is more roomy than others - I'm also carrying a lot of water so I would assume maybe the same thing, especially if it's your third and you've somewhat stretched!

It's also my third and i always measured bigger. My doctor made comments about and finally i had to change her because she made me scared that maybe i had some fibroids. But no, everything is very good and baby is growing perfectly. So don't worry, it's probably just your stretched uterus.

This is my first and at my 16 week scan uterus was right at my belly button. I wouldnt worry :flower: Its an average for a reason, not an absolute rule.

thanks all! I always thought I'd be bigger this time around as everything is already streched but it was her reaction made me worry a little! much more reassured now x

This is my second and I had my appointment last wednesday, and she measured my fundal height just above my belly button. I was 17w4d at that time.
