hi

I work in London , been with the Company for nearly two years, i hate everything about them but that is a long story and lets not go there

I am 18 weeks high risk pregancy and been tought since i got pregnant
was bleeding till week 13+ had lots of scans and appointments
my bosses + hr are not happy with me being pregnant so every time i needed time off they were making stupid comments etc
Now because my antenatal app is at 11hrs i was told they will not be paying as the time of the app is unreasonable ....i couldnt amend the time with my hospital and HR is saying they dont have to pay .
what the hell is going on, i thought by law Emplayers have to pay !!

have you come across anythign similar like that

I am fuming

Thank you

They have to pay, end of. Google and call ACAS x

^^^This. If they don't they are breaking the law.

at my work, i am allowed up to 4 hours off per appointment. even if my appointment is at 4pm, they'll let me leave and have half a day x

my app is at 11:00hrs so would not be back to the office by 14:00,
their point is i will be outside the office for too long, they either want me to book half day off or make the time up
i will have to take this matter further

As its over lunch, could you not 'take your lunch break' at the same time so you are only in essence 2 hours out of the office? I thin they are being pretty unreasonable if you ask me.

When I was pregnant with my first I worked 40 miles away from my hometown and my scans were 40 miles in thr opposite direction so 80 miles from work, when I had a scan I would book a half day off annual leave but the other half was my antenatal "entitlement" it wasn't worth me driving so much in one day to go to work which was why I chose to book the day off, but I only needed to take a half day of my annual leave entitlement.
