19 degrees for baby room temperature...

Yep its feels cold for me too! Our bedroom is always around 21 degrees, and thats the temp of LO's too! We only use a sleepbag on her though and she feels fine at night, not too hold or cold! x

I find it a bit chilly too, brrrr xx

i don't know the temp but i am cold!! also a huge brrrrrrrrrr! lol x

tis cold!! we always have ours up to 21 nice and toasty =)

<3

I have LO's between 20 and 21, she's in a long sleeve vest and 2.5 tog bag, 19 feels too cold for me too!

Yep I find it cold too. Ours is usually around 21 too, nice and warm!

Mines always 16! Even with the heating on.. we have a cold house.. I did worry about LO but she has a long sleeve vest on, sleepsuit & a 2.5 tog sleeping bag and then a blanket over that & she seems fine. They do say the room is better colder then warmer to prevent SIDS. I had a summer baby and wrapped her up far too much when in them early days cos I was convinced she was cold! x

now i feel mean! my house and therefore LO's room is 18-19 and that is a hell of a lot warmer than it was pre-baby!!!!!

I like the house at 21-24 and it doesn't seem overly warm for LO either, when it's 17-19 she has cold cheeks and is always awake bless her. I think she might have a dust allergy though, find out in an hour, so unfortunately i'm having to keep it at 19 for the sake of her health :( whilst im sat here with cold hands... that NEVER happens!!! lol

Yes its bloody freezing! Ivy's room is ususally 21-22, as much as my OH tries to protest after our ridiculously high gas bill this winter!

I'm jealous of you all!! My heating has been broken since Sunday! My LOs roommwas 14 degrees last nite. I had her in 2 sleepsuits, sleeping bag and blanket! I was freezing in my bed, could hardly put my head out of the cover. Eventually I just lifted her into my bed because I was so worried about her getting cold!! Im cold all the time so you can imagine how this whole experience has freaked me out!!

The gas man is here now, keep your fingers crossed that he gets it fixed, it's like an igloo at the minute!! Xx

i find it way too cold for me let alone Vinnie, i have a gro egg and i always keep our room on what they consider 'too warm' but i think its just right and my lo is never too hot or too cold xx

Our room was 19 lastnight and when my lo woke for her feed this morning, her little hands were like ice :( I much prefer it around 21 too!!

Our house is usually between 18 -20, LO wears vest, sleepsuit and 2.5tod bag and he is always toastie. He hates being too hot though :)

Holly's room is between 20-21. Any lower than that she doesn't sleep well. She sleeps in a long sleeved babygro and a long sleeved fleece sleepsuit. She wont go in a sleeping bag any more, think she gets annoyed with being restricted.

When we are in Spain through most of the summer her room tends to hover around 26/27 - even with a fan and the windows open!

now i feel mean! my house and therefore LO's room is 18-19 and that is a hell of a lot warmer than it was pre-baby!!!!!

Same here! We didn't use our heating before LO came along and now its between 18 and 20.

I have mine between 18 - 20 and it feels absolutely fine to me. I have a gro egg in LO's room and it says 16 - 20 is a safe temp although 16 feels a little cold TBH.

If you think LO will be cold, put a jumper on them, or something long sleeved. We live in a warmer climate, so I guess LO is aclimatised to being warmer, but in the houses we have no central heating, and in the winter it gets down to 12c in the house. LO has been sleeping in that temperature for the past three months, and she's been fine.

During the day I just make sure she's wearing a long sleeved top and trousers, or a jumper over a T-Shirt, and during the night I have her in a sleepsuit, bodysuit underneath and a sleepbag. She's not been unwell, so I'm positive it doesn't hinder them. And like I said, she's probably aclimatised to the heat more so than english born babies, so if she can manage well in 12c, I'm sure your LO can

19 sounds good to me! I live with my inlaws, and they have the heating on ALL the time. The house is constantly between 26-29. It's really uncomfortable, and god knows how much they spend on heating! My FIL is always wearing 2 jumpers too, I think it's unhealthy!

After asking them to think about turning it down, and having them complain about the cold (!!), we turned our bedroom radiator off and keep the door closed, and we manage to keep it between 22-20, and Poppy wears a 2.5 tog sleeping back with a vest and baby grow.

Now all I have to do is find some way of keeping Poppy away from radiators when she's crawling in case she burns herself. :/ The funny thing is, my MIL came into our bedroom one night before I had Poppy, and we had the window wide open because we were boiling, and she said we'd have to keep the room much warmer for the baby, she was shocked when we said we had to turn the radiator off and told us to put it back on when she comes! I said there was no way, the monitor was already registering 26!
