19 degrees for baby room temperature...

Yep its too cold for Ava too. Her hands turn to ice blocks in that temperature!

Yeah my mum n dad's house is really hot, had to get them to turn the heating down and open a window last time we were there.. can't be good for them!

I heard the PERFECT room temp is 22. Not sure though but it's what I try keep ours at. Although I live in Africa and it's hot and humid usually. Tho we've had a few cold winters in the last few years; so bracing myself for whats coming brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Oh no, I find 19 almost unbearably hot at night!!! We keep our room at 18 for LO and he sleeps fine, even if we are sweating!!!

our LO's room is between 20 and 22 and he sleeps with a 2.5tog sleeping bag. he's always just right........

we have our room about 20 - and it feels freezing - but im comparing that to summer temps here - not looking fwds to 30+ temps at night!!!!

I suppose it's better to be too cold than too hot then lol hoping we get off lightly for summer, it gets too muggy and humid, usually with the sun hiding behind the clouds :/ xx

My house is 18 ish and that's with the heating on, it doesn't get much warmer! I can feel a chill in the air but LO is warm and that's what counts :) x

I keep LO's room at about 18/19 sometimes it does feel a little nippy, but she seems to prefer it that way. Any warmer and she doesn't sleep the best x

Mine is 18 degrees at night. Lo has mits, long sleeved grow and 4 blankets (celular)...she is fine.

My house is cold and my dd's room is always cold. To me 19 degrees is cold. When she goes to bed I make sure she's got a few blankets on, but make sure she can kick them off if she gets too hot. Before I go to bed, I keep going into her room and checking her to make sure she hasn't gotten to hot in her sleep.

Well it's like when you're in maternity, it's actually boiling! Must be exceeding 26 degrees at least i'm sure and they shove two blankets on your LO! Just before I left the midwife told me "Remember if it's below 18, two blankets, above 18, one blanket" Errr... really?! lol

I use the sheet/blanket guides on mothercare/mamas and papas guides, LO seems to be just right by these guidelines though it does prove to be a bit of a pain in the ass when i'll go to bed and our room's 21 degrees, wake up in the middle of the night with her having kicked off some of her covers (tried a sleeping bag but she's too small for it at the mo) then i'm having to add a blanket so generally just have a sheet & two blankets on from the offset and she doesn't seem too hot to me.

Just all depends on the individual child really, I hate it when they say "LO needs one more layer than what you do" but if this applied to DH and me we'd be forever dressing her up and down between us! lol! I feel the cold really bad (especially since not being pregnant, brrrr!) and DH works in the outdoors so feels hot regularly (though with my coldness I am starting to desensitising him slightly as I like the heating up!)

Just one more thing in the world of baby that there's no set of rules for!
