Anyone else done this early? Baby is head down, nurse could feel his head but its not locked into the pelvis. I've had two shots to stop contractions and two steroid shots :(

I did not want to read and run but I hope baby decides to stay in there at least a couple weeks longer and in many instances they do. I know I went into premature labor with my oldest at 34 weeks and got to 3 cm dilated and about 70% effaced. He was locked and ready to go. I was then placed on bed rest until 38 weeks and he did not come till 41 weeks 3-4days.

With my first she was engaged from 32 weeks and at 33 weeks I was 3cm and 100% effaced. I went into preterm labour at 34 weeks which progressed me to 4cm dilated, thankfully they managed to stop the labour and I remained at 4cm 100% for 3 weeks until she was born. It did mean I had a very quick labour (2hours30mins established labour).

I'm 1cm and 50% at 34+4 after having a bladder infection (no symptoms!) which was causing pre-term labor. (This all happened yesterday!)
I got terbutaline to stop contractions, fluids and IV antibiotics, and was sent home to rest.
Still feeling like I might be having contractions, but hard to know as I've been having tons of BH anyway and the contractions I was having yesterday weren't particularly painful!
Cross those legs! Did anyone run a urine test on you to see if infection might be causing the PTL?

i hope your lo can stick it out a few more weeks in there! if baby does decide to make an appearance and its of any reassurance, my DF was born @ 32 weeks and he is perfect :)

well almost.... :dohh::haha:

My urine is fine but I do have Bacterial Vaginosis. I was already on one round of Flagyl and that didn't fix it so now I get suppository antibiotics. That might be causing the ptl. By the way, I'm in Central Oregon

My preterm doc said I was about 1.5 cm dilated and 60% effaced and that my cervix had thinned considerably and had shortened by half in a week. Was put on strict bedrest. No steroid shots, but have an appointment with my other doctor Monday.
Try to take it easy and keep that baby baking! Lay back and enjoy the quiet, relaxing time we keep getting told we'll never get to experience again, ever.

Relaxing time? Girl, I've got a 3 year old daughter and a 20 month old son. No relaxing here ha ha

I don't have any experience in this, vut wanted to wish you luck and hope bubba stays put for a few more weeks
