1st cycle clomid 2 nice follicles chances? Help ?

My 1st round of clomid 50 mg had my ultrasound today had to large follicles they said I'm ready to ov out of dr sent me home with ovidril (inj) to do on Thursday me and my DH are doing timed intercourse at home opted out of iui for the 1st cycle also 3 days after I do the ovidril inj I got to start progesterone suppositories

Just wondering if my chances r high ?

And I know women with pcos have a higher risk of miscarriage what can I do to help prevent ??

Other than the normal things (that every pregnant women should do, i.e. avoiding raw eggs and the like) theres not huge amounts you can do. If you are on Metformin, there is research out that says it is a med that will reduce the risk of misscarriage. But other than that, not much sorry

I ve also heard about the higher m/c risk. I think Metformin (if you are on it already) can help reduce the risk. As will the progesterone suppositories. PCOS ladies are often progesterone defficient which is one of the common causes of m/c. So hopefully you'll be OK!

Oh and of course there's a good chance of twins for you! What CD are you?

O wow thank u ladies I'm cd 13 inj will be done on cd 14, I was wondering what the progesterone suppositories were for so thank u for the info hoping this is it ! Good lick everyone !!

Hi Mandy,
I am in the same boat as you now. 1st round of clomid and I had my scan yesterday. 2 nice follies. My dr is having me to the injection today (CD11). We are also doing IUI and that is Friday morning. I am also taking the progesterone (I heard that is messy from the nurse).

My Dr says 10% chance per cycle but I have read other stats that consider how many follies and hormone levels too.
