I thought KittyVentura asked some interesting questions and would be helpful if any other ladies had any other nuggets of advice for us as I, like KittyVentura will have 2 under 2. There will be 16 months ( I think) between my 2)

here is a link to original thread before it was closed, thanks

I wrote her a thread too but I'll just put it under here
ANYWAYS moving on

You were writing about the Ergo. You know how much I love it but the Ergo is not really suitable for pregnancy. I would highly recommend getting a Mei Tai to use because that's far more suitable and can be used well into the 3rd trimester as you can move the tie around. The ergo's bottom strap and bumps don't mix.

Congrats!!!

I'd love any hints - i'm going to have approx 12 months, 2 weeks between mine! :)

thanks, I have an ergo and found it comfy on my back up until this week, the strap dug in too much, Il look into a Mai tai, is there one you recommend?

I have gone for the pear Kitty, I use it as a single now and its getting a bit heavy, I have not tried it as a double, but am going to walk a lot so will possibly be carrying baby a lot too, I can see us getting a lightweight side by side later on if we need to, but libby should be walking properly soon and I dont think she is going to want to be in a buggy much.

I have 3 under three (2 of which are 18 months and under)so going to stick my nose in too Kitty.

I found using a tandum hard work (mine was what could be considered a long wheel base one and heavy) A nightmare to move about in some shops, even now I find it easier to use a single and wear Kara, or even OH wears Kara if we are out together and I deal with pushchair.

Rosa is in a cotbed currently, thankfully her cot was one that converted. For the fist week or so we put down some padding (her older matress) until she got used to the fact there was no side. She is also often found curled up in her sisters "toddler" bed and she can climb in and out easily.

Thank you for starting this new one Taloolah :hugs:

Thanks for the advice everyone, Aliss, thanks for the heads up re the Ergo. Could a Moby be used with a babe as big and heavy (25lb) as Fin comfortably do you think? I'll look at a Mei Tei too xxx

I think I should clarify too, you'll want to start doing back carry when pregnant. No more front! Besides, it's time to graduate anyways  It only takes a little bit of practice, once you get the hang of it it's much more preferable than front.

Nope, not a moby. He's too chunk  Mine is a hefty one like Fin and he was out of it by 3-4 months. You will probably want to consider back carry anyways because 25lbs + a bump on the front just sucks, not to mention if he starts kneeing/kicking your stomach. You can't back carry with a moby.

Aside from a mei tai, I would also highly recommend a woven wrap too.

Sorry I don't have one myself (yet...) but come to the natural parenting section here for a recommendation!

Hahaha, you know me well. I'm so scared of him face planting while I wibble him on to my back. He's a fan of lunging, I'll grab a mei-tei on Ebay and give it a go xxx

Well I will have 3 under 2!!!! Eck, My twins are due in the next 8ish, but then you never know with twins.

I was pregnant last year and would have had 2 under 18 months, i wasnt intending on getting a double then, but had a MMC.

This time i obviously need a double for the twins but def not getting a triple! My son hardly uses the pram now, but if he needed to or was being naughty, i would wear one of the twins, which im gutted i wont get to do as much as its twins!

So anyway, we got a Nipper 360 which is light weight which is what i wanted, and suitable from birth to 4 years! so works well with my brood!

I didnt breastfeed my son longer than a week, so cant help much there and im not intending on breastfeeding the twins very long either, i want them to get some of the goodness, but i really dont enjoy breastfeeding and im stressed enough about having two newborns and a toddler, so it will be a few weeks max.

Cant remember your other questions.

Good luck with your pregnancy and congrats. Sorry about your previous post, that was really not nice xxx
