Hi girls, my 2 week old twins will take a max of 80 but mostly 70 on average at every feed.
Should they be taking more?

Correct me if Im wrong, but as twins are usually alot smaller than singleton babies, then I would think that taking less formula would be normal. A baby who was born 5-6lbs would probably only be taking 2-3 ounces in the early days and weeks.
As a general rule if you multiply your baby's weight by 2.5, then that is approximatly how many ounces of milk they need in a 24 hour period. So for a 6lb baby they would need roughly 15oz of milk per day. Split that into 6-8 feeds per day, works out at 2-2.5oz per feed. xxx

Hi:flower:
How big are your lo's? My girls weighed 5lb 1 and 4 lb 9 and were taking about 2oz (60ml) on a good day when they were 2 weeks. Even now they dont take lots, about 4 / 5oz (120/150ml) and they're 14 weeks. But both gaining weight and doing well :) As long as they're gaining weight and plenty of wet/dirty nappies, Im sure they're taking what they need.

thanks girls. Our twins were born 5lbs and 5.15. Today the health nurse came and their weights are now 5.10 and 6.9 :) They are taking up to 60/70 mls and somtimes 80 at feeds..
