20 .. considered teen?

Hey, welcome and congrats! I'm Celeste, 21 and pregnant with my 1st. Hope things go well telling your mum :flower:

I was terrified to tell my mom too...I'm 20 and married and I was still scared...but it was simple..I just jumped right in...she asked me if I saw the doctor because at the time I had a cold..and I said "Yup" and she said "and what did she say" and I said "that I'm pregnant" and she just said "you are"...she was dissapointed because I have not yet gone to college and I don't have a career and I just got back from Iraq and wasn't settled in yet...but you take what life gives to you...

Just remember that having a child is something to be celebrated..not cry over!!!!

This might sound horrible, but I was like you I couldnt tell me parents so I wrote my mom a letter and put it in her purse before school. Then after school came home and we talked about it. It gave her time to cool off, but I express myself better in a letter. Good luck

good idea...i thinkm thats what ill do aswell, i almost told mine today but i didnt wanna ruin her good mood so i thought....another time.

Congrats and good luck hun! I'm 20 and pregnant as well =]

You're not stuck!!! You can still go to school.. You just need help, and its out there.. Sometimes you just have to find it.. If it makes you feel any better Im enrolled in school full time this semester and Im due December 3.. The way classes fall around here if my little man decides to come close to his due date, ill have him and take my finals a week later. Stay strong!! And dont loose sight of your dreams!!!

hey guys,

well today was the big day of telling my mom, she was so upset, she drove home to talk to me and said she wanted me to get an "a" i didn't know what to say so i've just kind of been on my own sitting in silence. I told the father today too, he says its ultimately up to me but he doesnt want me to get an "a"

today was a pretty bad day:(

i'm sorry i'm posting so much, i decided to keep the baby :) i'm doing what i think is right, and im excited even in the midst of the anger and confusion my family is going through. My school offers 3 semesters off for pregnant students i plan on only taking one or 2 off though

Telling them is one of the hardest parts, I bet you feel better now that you're not holding it all inside anymore :hugs: Good to hear your college is flexible with pregnant students, that's great! I'm going to college after my baby is born. It's harder with a baby but it's totally do-able!

I'm 19, I'll be 20 in november, and this might sound kinda bad, but I started to tell my mom over the phone 3 times but I just cried every time, finally i sent her a text saying "I messed up and I'm sorry just please don't be mad right now... I'm so sorry". My mom and I have a regular thing of waking up and getting on facebook, so she IMed me and asked me what was wrong I tried to tell her I didn't think facebook was the right place to tell her but she insisted, So I told her I was sorry I let her down but I was pregnant.

She handled it pretty well, a lot better than I thought...
Now its telling the rest of my family :nope:

I'm 19...20 in November & Due in January!!
First off congrats!!!
Secondly, once you tell your 'rents or whomever it's a big releif.
Or @ least it was for me..My parents were concerned with my education and
my future. But mother's, at least in cali, get grants and day care assistance if they need it. You should look into that sort of stuff, it was a big releif to know i can go to school and get help if need be.
