Hi ladies :hi:

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year and I hope to see lots of :bfp: in 2010. I also wanted to ask if anyone has a plan for next year? I'm planning for me and DH to do acupuncture and complete the last three clomid cycles that I have. I'm 31 in May 2010 and have decided that if I'm not pregnant by my birthday (or if mid cycle then when it ends after my birthday) then we won't do acupuncture anymore (will have done it for about 6 months) and I will learn to drive which scares the crap out of me!!

We are also planning on saving as much money as we can this year in the hope that in 2011 we will be in a position to look at buying our own house [-o<

If I'm not pregnant by the end of 2010  then in 2011 we will be looking at alternatives which the learning to drive and buying our own house is in preparation for. So what plans has everyone else got and is anyone else looking at planning for the future and alternatives?

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE :hugs:

Happy 2010 to you too..........fingers crossed we will both get BFPs sooner rather than later. I have no plans at all, just keep trying and trying, time is running out for me now so just have to try to stay positive I guess!!!!

Hi Carebear, Happy new year!!

Sounds like a great plan, so nice to have things to work towards.

My plan is to loose weight and once i have BMI under 35 will go back to the FS in hope of further tests and clomid. We also plan to save for any treatment we may need to pay for.

Here's to a happy 2010 for us all.

Sarah

Happy new year all!

Our plan is, we have and appointmen in feb with the fs to see what our next steps are as it seems that clomid hasn't worked. Sohopefully it will now be onto IVF.

We are also planning on buying a bigger house closer to my family for when it is actually time for us to have our own family. We were putting off as we weren't sure how we would cope financially if a baby came along but we're not holding back on our lives anymore as it's been far too long saying 'what if', we just have to get on with it and deal with things when they happen!

Happy new year to all!! x x x

Hi CareBear, good luck with the acupuncture, have you every tried it before? I've seen it lots on TV but never tried it myself.

Our 2010 plan is to complete our ICSI cycle and to go as far as we can with it, if this does not work we may consider overseas adoption in 2011 if not I would love to travel for a year or even move somewhere abroad or start a new life somewhere else in the UK, DH and I have talked about it lots already I think its important to have plans.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year - I hope 2010 brings us everything we hope and wish for xxx

Thanks for the luck with acupuncture, no I haven't tried it before but I went to a seminar by Zita West at the fertility show in November and it was something she recommended so we thought we would give it a go! Can't hurt anyway!

In regards to you thinking about adoption can I ask why you're thinking of overseas adoption? There are a lot of children in this country that need loving homes and forever families :hugs:

Our plan is for full steam ahead with ICSI. Not sure what other treatments we're doing. I dont want to get too bogged down and obsessed with it all, gonna try and stay as normal as possible and relaxed.

The ICSI thing is a double edged sword for me. If ot works, Ill have to settle for a job I dont really want so I get maternity leave and shifts to fit around a baby. If it doesnt work, Ill be able to do my dream job (I qualify as a nurse in September). So I have a lot of mixed emotions about that. But its not like Ill never have that job, it would just be on hold, which is better than my family being on hold for any longer!!

Hi CareBear, I haven't ruled out the possibility of adoption in this country, although I have read and heard many negative experiences and how difficult it can be. I have a relative who used to work for an adoption team and I'm sure they would advise me further. The reason we were thinking about overseas adoption is because several years ago DH and I did some travelling in Asia, we had a fab time but witnessed and saw some awful ill treatment of children in Cambodia, I can still see clearly two young childrens faces, I cried several times during that trip! I would like to make a difference to a child from that country. I know there are many children out there all over the world that need a loving home, its just I was so moved by what we witnessed, I have been researching some charity orgainisations, it would probably be more realistic for me to make a difference that way and then at least I would hopefully make a difference to several children x

Thanks for replying, thats fair enough reasons  I was just curious. The adoption process can be difficult but it is the same for adopting in this country and inter-country. Good luck if you decide to follow this and good luck with the ICSI :hugs:

Hi CB, Happy Nerw Year! My plan is to get pregant from IVF this year!!!!! If for some reason it doesn't work then me and DH will be saving our pennies for a trip to Oz to spend Xmas 2011 with DH's dad, tbh DH is up for this even if we have LO in tow!

If IVF doesn't work then I will be loooking for a new job/career and on TTC front I have no idea. Depends on egg quality etc and reasons why IVF didn't work - poss have a go privately if not then............................who knows!

:hugs:
