I've just worked it out and feel a bit worried that I've been over eating. I can't remember my weight gain with my boys, but I've eaten an obscene amount of chocolate this pregnancy and now I feel worried. I'm only small to start with, but feel chunkier on my thighs, butt and back. Does my gain sound normal or not?!

Sounds absolutely normal to me, I wouldn't worry at all!

I'm kicking myself I worked this out right before I head to bed- bit of a slump to the end of the day! Maybe it just sounds bad as it's a big rounded off number! Our scales had no batteries so I only got to weigh myself the other night and my hubby's reaction was 'woah' think it made me feel paranoid, and I still have 8 weeks of growth left :dohh:

Normal! Why worry when the normal gain if you've got a healthy bmi is 25-35lb gain?

Well if this doesn't make you feel better, nothing will! With #3 I gained 60lbs! Thankfully not as much this time but still significantly more than 20lbs lol. I have heard that 20lbs is the perfect amount! And I also heard that of that 20, 10-15 of it is baby, extra fluid and blood, boobs, placenta etc etc. I think you've done great!

You've gained waaaaay less weight than I did with both of my pregnancies. ;) And I worked off all the weight and more with my first. I'd be sooo happy if I only gained twenty pounds!

Isn't recommended weight gain between 25-30 lbs?!?! I've gained 23lbs and I'm 37 weeks.

You're on pace (at the recommended 1lb per week from here on out) to gain 28 pounds by the end. This is WELL within the 25-35lb recommendation! I think you're right on target. :)

I think u r perfect and even on the lower side. Im 22 p at almost 38 weeks and my doctor said is fantastic and that she doesnt see that so often , most ladies gain between 25 and 40 pounds..

Morning ladies :flower: thank you, you're all so positive. I feel much better this morning, not going to worry about it anymore as I'm still active with two kids, and exercising once a week, so I'm doing what I can (apart from adding in all the chocolate :haha:)

I gained 16lbs at my 27 week appt. I go again Monday so I am sure I will be at around 21 lbs for my 30 week

You've gained less than me. At 31 weeks I was up 23 lbs! I'm hoping with cutting back on sugar and junk, i'll be able to keep the weight gain at bay.

MY gain should make you feel better... im about 108 to 110 pre pregnancy.. hit the 160 mark a few days ago lol about 50lbs...dr seems okay with it cause im small. Your fine hunny...baby likes that cake...keep feeding him/her it lol

I've gained 40# by the time I was 30 weeks(I'm 5'7"). And thats eating healthy and only eating candy or sweets every few days. So the last three weeks I've been "clean" eating. No more candy or *added* sweets. And I weight myself a few days ago and it says I've lost 5#. But I have 6-8 more weeks left. So I'm sure I'll gain some more. I do believe most of this gain is water retention though.

I think its fine. I had gained 19lbs at 29 weeks, 20lbs by 31 and at 35 weeks I had gained 25lbs. For 32 weeks they expect to see between 18-26lbs of weight gain :) Dont worry , even though I hate getting on the scale at the office. I too am a small gal to begin with. I am 5'5" and 122 before baby. I hate seeing "147" on the scale!!! lol, but it will all come off soon enough.
