Hi ladies,

I wanted to share my story, hopeful it will give someone a little bit of encouragement.

I was very hesitant to post a success story so early, but once I thought about it, getting this far is a success already, and i'm ready to share!

First a little about me, when we started trying to conceive i was 26, my husband was 31. Neither of us have ever had kids.

My husband and I started trying officially right after we got married, we knew for years we wanted to kids and did not want to waste any time! We tried for about a year before I went to see my Dr. for help. We had been using ovulation tests, i was very regular, and could soon start to predict when i'd ovulate with out the tests. My family Dr. referred us to a specialist, we started with a semen analysis, all came back great! Then I went in for an HSG, oh boy that was uncomftorable, i had one blocked tube, which was cleared during the procedure. Then they did a lap in November 2011 and I found out i had endo.

It was terrifying and relieving all at the same time, I had an explanation for the fertility issues, and all the issues that went along with AF.

The Dr. said we had the best chance of conceiving in the next 6 months, when, if nothing happens we'll come back to see him. We had our follow up appointment booked for May 2, 2012.

Each month AF reared her ugly head every month, and our last month of trying I had to go out of town days before i was due to ovulate, my DH had to stay home :( We BD'd right before I left and as soon as i got home. I was sure we were out that month, what were the chances... Well April 15, 2012 I took a test, just on the off chance, and sure enough BFP! Just a couple weeks shy of our next Dr. visit!

I couldn't believe it! I still barely believe it!

I had officially given up. People around me kept telling me to relax it will happen when it happens. I think the next person to say that to me was going to get my foot up their rear end.

I unfortunately don't have much advice for you, and I know you can't relax, I sure couldn't. I didn't think it was going to happen for me, and i'm sure others feel the same way. I'm thinking of everyone and I have my fingers crossed that more BFP's come to those LTTTC.

My husband doesn't get it, but I told him when we announce the pregnancy, its NOT going on my FB. There are far too many ladies on there who I know are having troubles conceiving or just can't. I can be excited and happy without rubbing it in anyones face. I know those ladies will be happy for me, but we can talk about it face to face.

I'm incredibly excited for this, and i'm even enjoying to morning sickness, no matter what i wake up every morning thankful.

:dust::dust::dust:

Wonderful! Congratulations Janers from a fellow endo!

Hi Nats77, just wondering what treatment you had for endo after your lap? Did you have your kids before you were diagnosed with endo? I had Zoladex (stopped my periods for 9 months though!) and now TTC again. Specialist also gave me 6 months due to my endo being quite bad...

I was first diagnosed in jan 2000, I had a laparoscopy because i had ovarian cysts and thats when they found the endo they didn't do anything then but said if i had problems ttc then to go back. I fell pregnant with my first after about 10 months, then my second on the first cycle, didn't even think about it again for years, then started getting lots of pains again so went back to docs, they did a scan and said i had a small cyst again so eventually sent me in for a laparoscopy and to have the cyst drained in 2007 (i think) this time they found quite severe endo and they lasered it all away. Started trying for another baby in 2009 after which i had three consecutive miscarriages eventually having a successful pregnancy to which my son was born in 2011, have since been ttc with no success, but have had lots of pain so they sent me for another laparoscopy on wed's and found i had endo back again behind my ovaries and on my cervix which they lasered all away again and here i am today uncomfortable but positive for the future, and doc's seem to think i should get bfp within 6 months, so fingers crossed!
Hope that wasn't to long winded but answered your question, good luck and baby dust xxxxxxx

Congrats and thanks for the post! We're approaching 20 months trying. Surgery is scheduled to remove a polyp next week, but they also suspect i have endo. i really appreciate your non fb announcement stance. i feel the same way. If and when i manage to get pregnant, i'll be happy enough without rubbing it in anyone's face.

It was so disheartening for me, every BFN we got. I know there are couples out there who have been trying so much longer than I did, i feel lucky to have made it under the two year mark. This journey is going to make all of us enjoy pregnancy that much more.

Thanks to all of you for your congratulations and for sharing your stories.

I wish you all the best! I have a feeling there are many more BFP's to come!

Janers, thanks for sharing your story! It gives me hope! I had lap & hysteroscopy at the end of march. RE found stage 3 endo,, which I had no idea I had. Finally a reason why in 20 months we hadn't seen a BFP! I am now in the middle of my 2nd cycle post surgery and have been on clomid, trigger shot, and iui. Hope I have a happy ending like you really soon!!

Thanks for this lovely thread

I am 3 (going on 4) cycles post lap which found and removed severe endo. I'm fed up of being let down by Af every month :(

Em xxx

Emily: I felt the same way, i was so fed up, and I had basically come to accept the fact that it wasn't going to happen. Try and stay positive! It happened for me, and I really hope it happens for you.

Congrats Janers!!! Thank you so much for sharing your story with us! :winkwink: It certainly gives many of us still waiting for our :bfp:s hope!

Congratulations to you and I wish you a fantastic nine months and beyond! Thanks so much for posting this. I had my lap in May after a year of trying and am trying to stay positive.

Wow, congratulations to you and thank you for giving me some hope. I feel exactly the same about fb, when I finally (I say when ..trying to be positive) I won't be doing that either. Wishing you much happiness with your new bundle of joy.

Thank you so much for this thread!!! I know everyone says it will happen but reading the success stories always makes me feel better. DH & I hit the 1 year mark last month & although it was hard we got through it. We have decided to wait until we can get some funds together for IUI. Although I may say its been nice not temping & taking clomid lol or even having to stop to insert the preseed haha. We haven't really BD much around the time I think I o'ed. so I know chances are almost not there.

The doctor said it will take time due to his LSC

Thanks for all the congratulations and kind words. I was nervous to post this thread so early in my pregnancy but everything seems to be going well.

I'm think ing of all you ladies, and I hope your BFP come soon. I know you deserve it!

Thanks for sharing. Gives me some hope. Cycle 18 for us & we were told last week to try for 6 more months and go straight to ivf, unfortunately we can't afford it so if I can't conceive naturally we have no chance xx

Do you know why you aren't able to conceive? I see from your signature you've had an HSG, and one tube was blocked, is it still blocked?

Not sure why, yeah tube is still blOcked, but that means half the cycles on average we should have had a chance at it. Apparently everything else is good. Warned off iui in case egg somehow comes down bad tube & causes ectopic.

However, trying soy again this cycle, have ordered the preseed again and really hoping I ov from good side this cycle. No option but to keep trying, but as I said, stories like yours give me hope :) xxx
