Hmm isn't it neat how everyone pronounces things so differently?!

What about names that end with an A sound?
Bella, Sofia, Bianca....Micah, Jonah, Joshua

Or names that are pretty straightforward:
Harper, Harrison, Blake, Ryan

Thomas
William
Luke
Ryan

Rose
Lauren
Eve
May
Grace

Girls:
Mia
Joy
Belle
Freya
Violet

Boys:
Rowan
Carl
Tristan
Connor
Callum

Hi! We have exactly the same problem, we're both from yorkshire and it's not just names ending in ie/y that can be problematic! My friend called her son Joel but he gets 'Joe-well' style pronunciation all the time! It spoils the name!

Our shortlist also avoids ie/y endings and includes names like-
Jasmine
Lois
Alice
Max

I love -
Vinnie
Poppy
Sadie

but reluctant to use them because of the accent issue! Haha! Xxxx

Not a clue but I feel your pain. None of the girl's names we like sound remotely okay in a Hull accent and it's driving me mad!
