22dpiui & Progesterone- need advice please!

Hi Ladies,

I am currently 22 dpiui and no sign of AF. I am on progesterone suppositories and getting BFN (both on HPT's and blood work). My doctor wants me to keep taking progesterone until AF shows up, but if i got a negative blood test doesn't that mean i'm not pregnant? I did the bloodwork at 20dpiui so its not like i'm testing too early! I don't know what to do? Stop progesterone????

I think a negative blood test is pretty conclusive, bit strange they still want you to keep taking the progesterone. I only got 14 days supply to take so it stopped with either a bfp or bfn.

I'm pretty sure you won't get your period as long as your taking the progesterone. The elevated Progesterone levels are what is keeping your flow from coming.. Usually protocol is to take it for your luteal phase - test for pregnancy by at 14dpo.. If it's negative, stop the progesterone and let your period come.

You can still get a period while on progesterone. I ended up getting mine on it once. But, for the most part that progesterone postpones it or can stop it all together. That's odd that even after a negative blood test, he wants you to still take it. Odd. Sorry to hear about your negative, honey.
