Well hello to all again.. I have been MIA for a bit.. summer is busy.

So heres the deal since Jan 2010

Jan-MMC 14.5 weeks
normal period
Chem Preg
Chem Preg
Normal Period
Chem Preg-- waiting on period to start.

So I know I am fertile... just can not get anything to stick long enough. : (

I went to my doctor and he is testing myself and my husband for chromosone issues and he is testing me for blood disorders galore and my HCG levels etc... literally 24 or more vails of blood.

We have 2 beautiful girls and had one other late miscarriage before as well.

I am oddly ok with all of this going on... I just want to have a normal pregnancy wiht a healthy bundle of joy then i am DONE... we just one one more little miracle.

who has gone though this before?? I did not even know what a chemical pregnancy was until this all began.

Baby dust to all!!!

Sadly, I have had lots of early mcs, 4 to be exact. They think it's my progesterone levels but I don't know cause last cycle my prog. was tested on 7 DPO and it was normal. My doctor wants to test for immunilogical issues and we already did the chromosomal blood tests and both DH and I came back completely normal.

I did have a sticky baby in between mc 3 and 4 and he is just perfect thank God. All I did different with him was prog. and a baby asprin every day. I'm thinking of doing the additional blood tests though, just to be on the safe side.

I'm sorry for all your losses, trust me, I understand.

I have lost my last 3 at 16, 16, and 13 weeks. I have 2 healthy boys at home (5 and 4). We have been "infertile" for 3 years (since we have not been able to have a pregnancy go to term) Last fall, I had surgery to remove endometreosis. I also have low progesterone. This was after 9 vials of blood...no where near the 24 you had! My husband and I went through the genetic testing also and found nothing wrong there. We were given the green light to try again in January and have not gotten pregnant yet. I know how you feel. I have 2, but I want to do it again. So many people try and can't have any, and we have 2. I thank God everyday for my boys!
Good luck with everything

thank you both so much for posting. You know it is absolutely crazy what us women go through. It is nice to not be alone though...

I am not putting much into the Chromo testing... my doc is a sepcialist and has only had a handful of families with something wrong in his career and i have 2 healthy children already so we think that one will be fine but the test is nice to have just to rule out.

We are not even testing my pregestrone levels... if anything they may be too high. I forget his reasoning on this but I think progestrone is what causes preggo symptoms and i can tell which months I am pregnant by about 6-7 DPO. This will be done later as a test during my cycle if nothing else shows up. My doc told me it was a different type of test though... scraping uterus or something during differnt points in a cycle ..does this make sense???

I really dont think I have blood disorders but I think this was the rest of the testing. I do have many things that do point towards this though I guess.
it is funny how I want something to show up so it can be fixed. I think this is the losing hope part and i want the medical miracle to kick in now since my own personal miracle is not happening on its own. weird human I am.. LOL

thanks for the replys girls... baby dust to us all again!!!

I totally understand, any answer feels like a step in the right direction.

My RE called me today and suggested I proceed with immune testing so even though it;s very expensive and insurance won't cover it I'm going to do it. They'll be testing APA, EPA, & RIP.

I'll go in about a week from now and results will come back within 2 weeks so hopefully within 3 weeks I'll know more. WOW, even more nerve wracking than the 2ww!

?? what is immune testing?

I wish I could explain it better but basically it tests for antibodies that your body may have in high quantities that are preventing a preg. from taking. These are usually antibodies that we all have in our blood but sometimes they get out of balance and the body can treat the egg as foreign matter and prevent implantation.

I'm surprised my RE thinks it is a possibility, I have had two healthy, live boys. My 1st one required no special care and with my 2nd preg. I was on progesterone until I was about 13.5 weeks along. I didn't receive any immunity treatment with either but she feels this could still be a contributing factor.

Hey, I'll try anything at this point :dohh:

Thanks for this post. I've had two mc now, both at 5 wks - so they were chemical pregnancies I guess. It's frustrating that I know I can get pg, but that it isn't sticking. I just want my first healthy full term baby :(

I know its hard hun but I had 3 mcs before having my son so trust me, it can happen. We can all do this. We may need some medical help but we are going to have our babies. :hugs:

mememe123 -- it has been awhile since I saw you here on BnB! I'm sorry to hear that you've been having such a difficult year so far. :hugs:

?? what is immune testing?

It consists of several tests to analyse possibility of any auto-immune condition where the immune system instead of protecting, attacks 'self', i.e 'own healthy cells' thinking it is foreign, causing inflammation or damage.

For example, APA or Antiphospholipid Antibody, is also known as APS, Hughes Syndrome or Sticky blood, when blood becomes sticky and creates clots. Recurrent miscarriages is one of its symptoms. If one is pregnant with APS the doctor may prescribe mini / baby aspirin which thins out blood to reduce the risk of MC.

Auto-immune condition can lay unnoticeable, undetected until a 'trigger' such as pregnancy or stress.

Most important factor in auto-immune is 'control and managing of symptoms'.

All the best to you!!! :hugs:

Thank you Slurpie! I got my tests done, now I have to wait 2 weeks for the results. Oh this 2ww is gonna kill me lol!

I have had a loss at 23 weeks and two chemical pregnancies, one in June and im going through the other one now.

They think the reason for my chemicals is because my cycles are messed up after the twins (i have only had one period in March).

I know i can carry babies, i carried the twins just short of 6 months. I lost them due to incompetant cervix and a water infection which brought on early labour.

We are NTNP and hopefully we will get a sticky bean 4th time round xx

I'm so sorry for your loss Mummy. You are one brave woman. Hugs!
