hey girls... im kinda in between here and tsecond tri i suppose but i decided to post and see if anyone is along the same lines as me!

i felt baby move and kick since about 20 weeks... it def got stronger but i have noticed the last week its decreased. i still feel him move/kick once or twice throughout the day but its almost as if its cushioned.

maybe my little mans position has changed or he's just growing more but i thought by now id be feeling heaps and heaps of kicks! i heard his heartbeat last week so im not crazy worried but i just wonder is it normal for babies to slow down and then pick up again?!?! my placenta is anterior but hasnt stopped me feeling kicks to begin with! xxxxxxxxx:hugs:

Your only 26 wks so baby still has tons of room and could be in a different position. However if ever in doubt call your doctor instead of posting, especially if you're concerned. GL

If you're concerned then definitely call your midwife/doctor, but your LO probably just changed position - he's still small enough that there are plenty of places he can move where you wouldn't feel much.

I had the same thing happen at around 26 weeks and then again at 28 weeks and it freaked me out both times, but it turned out my LO was just tucked up and facing toward my back.

The only thing that midwife's seem to be concerned about is a decrease in movement. So if any doubt get it checked out. I've had a few complications over past week and every midwife keeps saying to me the baby's movements are the most important thing. Always get it checked out.

thanks girls, im definitely still feeling him its just less frequent! it feels like he has changed position but ill make an app anyways and get checked out. just wanted to see if it was normal for LO's to do this! thanks alot xxxxxx

at 26 weeks my LO was facing my back, meaning all her punches and kicks i didnt feel, I also had some quiet days and really busy days, still do at 29 weeks. If your concerned call ur MW/GP.

thank you! i feel like he's towards my back atm but i might phone my doctor in the morning and call in asap so they can have a listen to him! eveything was perfect last week at my checkup so hopefully he's just having a quiet few days! xxx

At 26 weeks, I also had a slow down in movement so I went in to be monitored for peace of mind. Turns out she was perfectly fine and just found a corner of my abdomen to cosy up in. Im an anterior placenta too, so movements are cushioned anyway. Plus, the movement pattern does change in frequency through the course if pregnancy- my LO has slowed down again and makes me fret sometimes at the mo (I'm 38+4). If you're worried, call the midwife even if it's just to put your mind at ease.

I had the same problem at 26 weeks. I called my OB because I was worried as well, and when I told her I was 26 weeks, she didn't seemed concerned at all. She said as long as you are still feeling some movements there should be nothing to worry about. More than likely your LO has just turned to the back or something, so you arent feeling many kick. Sure enough a few days later I started feeling more frequent stronger kicks <3 But still if you are worried call your doctor that is what they are there for :)
