27 year old looking for a TTC buddy

Hi All,

I'm looking for someone that is going through the similar situation. It is my first month TTC and I usually have regular cycles. I'm 27 years old and I just got married last month. Looking for someone who is also TTC their first child and wants to chat. I would talk to the hubby but he just rolls his eyes at me....

Congratulations on your new marriage and your new start on TTC, I can see why you're Mrs. Excited!

I'm also 27 and my OH is 30. We've been TTC for almost a year now with no results, but then again after reading these posts on here I was no where as thorough as the ladies on this forum. I didn't do BBT, OPK, and charts. I just took my mother's advice to me and had fun trying to make a baby...lol.

If you're still in need of a buddy, I would love to swap stories...it would be nice to have someone to talk to about these things. My husband doesn't quite roll his eyes, but I can tell whenever we talk about these things he's like...huh?

For sure I would love a buddy!! I'm the same as you, I haven't tried any fertility aids or charting. My mom's advice was to have fun as well. What are you struggling with when TTC?

Right now I feel like crap so any sort of flutter in the belly or the tiniest bit of naseau has be thinking.... It's really hard not to think about it. When are you looking to take a HPT?

I think everything is a sign of being pregnant! but no luck as of yet!

Same here I even asked my dad if he thought I was pregnant. He had known my sister was pregnant with two of her kids before she even took a test. He said for me to be positive and maybe I am preggo. I felt like saying the only positive thing I want is a BFP lol.

I am 27, been married for 3 months, trying to conceive my first (not his).
No assistance but started charting this month. I stopped bc pill the end of august and this was my first complete cycle.
I am on CD19. My husband works away, so the fact that he was here for the right time this cycle got me so excited.........but not sure anymore if I am even actually ovulating yet.
I had positive opks on CD16 and 17, but no temp rise yet. We BD almost twice each day except nothing yesterday. So I'm not sure if there is still time for my temp to rise to say I did ovulate or not just yet.

It is nice to have people in the same sort of situation

Hello Ladies!

I haven't posted in a while, been a little busy
I have PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) so getting pregnant is not an easy task, primarily because my hormones are out of whack and I don't always O every month. But to every cloud there is a silver lining...after about a year of TTC, my husband and I finally had our very first appointment with an infertility specialist...and it went great! It was supposed to be a consultation, but the Dr. I went to see today is like the conductor of the "SUPER EXPRESS TRAIN to BABYLAND" so my husband and I gave a medical history and then next thing you know we were "All Aboard!" So after getting poked in my lady-parts by the Ultra-Sound wand my Dr. determined that so far everything is looking really healthy and operational, he just wants to get me tested to make sure my tubes aren't blocked.

I start taking Provera tomorrow to bring on my period, then on CD3 I'll get blood work done, then after that I'll start 50mg of Clomid, then on CD11 they'll check my eggs to see if they've matured, and if they've matured then on CD12 & CD13, my DH and I will have lots of BDing to do...so here's hoping we get a little one in before the end of the year

That's great news!!! Sounds like everything is coming together for you Here's to hoping that the treatments work for you.

On another note I've been cramping a little lately, AF isn't supposed to come for another week. My cycle is usually clockwork so I'm hoping this means good cramping. I too have a husband that works out of town so when my fertile week fell on his days off I was soooooo excited. If I get a BFN, that may mean a few months before we get that window again . But somehow I think that I may be pregnant. I am getting these weird vivid dreams and my lower abdomen feels full. Not like I ate way too much dessert full, but even lower in my abdomen.

Like I said, AF isn't supposed to be until next monday. My hubby goes back to work on that Monday so if AF doesn't show her ugly face I will test on the November 3rd. Good luck to everyone!!!

Oh wow I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you! The dreaded 2ww, but at least your almost through it. Look at it this way, with your new TTC buddies, you have other people to be in suspense with so keep us posted! I can feel the baby dust in the air...lol

The dreaded AF came for a visit . But instead of it making me completely depressed, it made me even more determined to conceive. I think I must have ovulated earlier than I thought because I only had a 27 day cycle.

This time around we will be BDing like bunnies. We even made it into a game, we both said how much we will BD. In the six days he has off he thinks 8 times, I think 10 times. Whoever wins the bet gets a weekend of their choice. Mine was a romantic weekend all about me. His was.... well definitely not PG 13. Hahhaha.

I'm thinking of taking my temperature too, just so I know when I ovulate. So how does the whole temperature thing work? The temperature increases when you ovulate? Any hints or suggestions?

tracking your temps is a great idea and so are ovulation test kits!

i found that out after the second month I ovulate really late like CD25 and my temps are raised and at the Mo Im CD8 Il Know on friday if its a BFP!

Ooooooo good luck to you!!! Ya I'm hoping that I ovulate relatively normal or else I'm kind of screwed with my husband's schedule. He will have most of December off, so if November doesn't pan out then hopefully December will.

OPKs are great as well as temping best of luck to you fingers crossed for you.
Schedule your husband and you'll be grand. My husband owns a bar and he works ridicoulous hours you can make it work

Excited- sorry to hear that AF showed, but like you said now you're even more determined to get pregnant...so let the marathon BDing begin...lol
I'm glad your husband is into making it a game, my husband tenses up anytime I mention scheduled sex...lol
I'm temping for my first time, and I read that when your AF is around you're supposed to have low body temps, and right when your about to ovulate you will have a surge in temp, if you're pregnant after that your temp won't really drop back to normal. I also read that the way to get the most accurate reading is to take your temp as soon as you wake up from 5 or more hrs of sleep, they say don't even speak or lift your head off the pillow because the slightest move will cause your temp to rise. I keep mine under my pillow

Claudinator- Did you get your BFP?! I hope you did!

As for me...I did blood work on 11/03 and my result came back normal, so they called me the same day and said I could start 50mg of clomid that day. So I took the clomid CD 3-7 and today (CD9) I'm still vexed with AF soooo I had to cancel my HSG scan (check for blocked tubes) and now I have to pray that AF goes away before Monday, because I have an ultra-sound scheduled to see if my follies have matured enough, if they haven't I'll have to wait some more before I get a trigger shot and my husband I BD...so needless to say I'm a bit bummed today! This baby making thing is way more complex than what it should be

Hi Ladies,

I would love to join your group! This is our 3rd month TTC really hoping for a BFP. This will be the first month using OPK's so hopefully we narrow down the ovulation date. If all goes as planned I should be able to test around November 29th. We currently have a 3 year old daughter and we would love to give her a sibling!! She wasnt planned, so I never experienced the TWW with her but man I didnt realize how much of an emotional roller coaster this could be. So here is an update, I did try temping but I need to be more diligent about it. I forget easily and would be up for an hour already before I realize I forgot to take my temp. But luckily my body told me I was ovulating (cramping) so I took an ovulation test and it was POSITIVE. So at least now I know that I'm ovulating which is a huge relief.

The husband and I had BDed the day before without knowing that I was about to ovulate and we BDed again last night which was when I took the ovulation test. So hopefully it worked but for whatever reason I'm more chill than I was last month. I'm going to try and wait until a missed period which wouldn't be until Dec 1st.
