28w4d and some bleeding?? HELP!!

i had a very bad yeast infection and the doc told me to treat with monistat 7.. well im on the 6th day of the cream and this morning about ohhh 9am after i had been up a few hours.. i went to the loo and wiped fresh pink blood.. and it was quite a bit and sorta TMI stringy and bright red.. i called L&D as soon as it happened they said its prob from my cervix and if it gets worse to go in.. well im worried as hell and nausous and dizzy now because im so worried i have NEVER bled in a pregnancy.. its not happening much anymore just a few dots and nothing on a pad.. what do you advise.. i also have been having alot of bh and contractions.. but have been since 15 weeks??

it is possoble that the spotting is coming from the use of mositat 7, so try not to panic but if i were you i would get it checked out just to give yourself peace of mind... xx

darlin i have nothing advice wise to offer, except maybe just sod it and go to l&d. I couldn't just leave without offering support. Keep us posted.... X

I would say this has been caused by the cream, it may be the way it treats the infection by stripping the infected cells and consequently some of the fresh lining, or alternatively it could have simply irritated your cervix. Have you been advised to stop using it? I would stop, and certainly pay attention to any contractions and see if they get more intense. On the other hand, how long have you had the infection? is there a chance this could be the cause? I think it's important you speak to your doctor or midwife as soon as possible for a proper answer.

Sorry, not much help, but if the bleeding returns or the contractions get stronger then go to the hospital hun. x

This happened to me last week and I was advised to go STRAIGHT to the hospital, even if it isn't anything....because it's better to be safe than sorry. It's more than likely to be the cream BUT it MIGHT be something more serious, like your placenta coming away--as in my case. They will need to moniter the baby for 24 hours to rule it out.
Ofcourse I am almost certain everything is fine...just better to check it out!

thank you ladies the bleeding has stopped.. and no more contractions.. just bh for now.. i see my mw in a week and a half.. ill be sure to ask than.. but the l&d nurse told me its most likely from my cervix.. and from the treating of my infection..
I have had it for almost a month.. and have been treating it for 6 of the seven days i certainly stopped and will not do the last day... but i have been very sore and swollen and im sure thats part of the reason for the blood.. i think the infection has gone so now just waiting to heal.. if i bleed again i will def go in.. thanks ladies... =)
