So last week after I had my first hCG level checked (it was 3,696.8 at about 5 weeks), I asked about scheduling an ultrasound. I never heard back, so I called again today. Apparently the doctor had given a response, but the nurse forgot to call me and let me know. Grr. So anyway, the response was that I could come in for another hCG check, and if it's over 10,000 they would schedule a viability ultrasound.

So I got it checked today at 11:25 am, and the result was 11,682.8. Since there was a week in between, and it's over 6,000 I can't really use doubling time for any reassurance, but at least it's gone up quite a bit and I'm not having any bleeding or anything. Ultrasound is scheduled for next Wednesday July 16 at 2:30 pm. That's the soonest they could get me in. It's going to be a looong week waiting!

Good luck! Hope you get to see your super healthy bean bouncing in there. :)

Here's my update:

Baby measured 7 weeks, 1 day (so measuring right where it's supposed to), and the heart rate was 122. So far, everything is looking good!

It's a big relief. I've had multiple losses, but every time I had a miscarriage things had gone wrong by 6 weeks (all except one were a complete spontaneous m/c by 6 weeks, and the other one had just stopped growing at 6 weeks). So it's really good that I've gotten this far and everything looks just like it should. The only other time I had a perfect ultrasound at this point, I got my daughter from that pregnancy. :) Because of all my previous losses, it's hard to relax and not worry, but this is a huge step in that direction.
