Hello everyone. I just finished bleeding from my 2nd chemical pregnancy. I'm on CD5. My first was on DH birthday in December. Trying since September.

My first loss was devastating. We hadn't told many people, thankfully. When I got my BFP this last time I wasn't even that excited as much as I was scared, the first loss took that excitement away from us. And that makes me sad that I feel that I can never have that excitement with a BFP, at least not what it should be. I just had a feeling that this one would go the same way, I tried to stay positive, I really did, but it all happened again. My thyroid looks perfect and no clotting disorders. My OB says that it is probably just statistics, but I just feel that something about my body is causing this. During this last pregnancy my first OB (never seeing them again) said my progesterone was a 7 and it was good, no, that is low, the new OB agrees. I really think that my low progesterone is not allowing the babies to implant well, so I am going to start Vitex tomorrow. I can't accept that there is nothing I can do, not yet.

Looking for fellow rainbow chasing buddies!!! What have you guys done to improve your TTC experience etc? Any positive stories after losses?

Hi
Hope it just could be bad luck, and you go on to have your baby on third try, you can see from my signature I had 5 early losses or chemical, the story was all the same. I get bfp at the time of Af, and a week later, I start bleeding, and all just go. In the UK they don’t test you unless you had 3 losses, so after the third, they referred me to my local hospital, and I was told all test came fine, there is no problem it is just bad luck just try again, and just in case they started me on progesterone, and baby aspirin but that didn’t work for me ( I know it does work for a lot of ladies), I carried the pregnancy a bit longer to 7 weeks but again it ended. Then I started researching online, I came across a lot of success stories, although there are many issues for miscarriage, there were two main reasons, either blood clotting issue, or something else I read about that intrigued me which is natural killer cell. I know my hospital did my thyroid, and blood clotting tests, and all came clear, so I thought it has to be NK, so I got referred to the team, and tests confirmed that, and I was put on the plan, and carried the pregnancy, and everything was fine but I went into labour at 24 weeks, luckily my rainbow baby doing fine, he is 18 months now.

I tried again after his birth but I had chemical again, and now my does has been adjusted, and I am trying again. Only thing I am 9 days late, with BNF, which is frustrating.

best luck to you xxx

Thank you so much for your reply. They don't do testing until 3 losses here either, my regular doctor just decided to do the thyroid and blood clotting tests for me anyway. I do feel I have a progesterone issue, but I will look into the natural killer cells, because that does sound interesting. Is there a test for that?

So glad you got your rainbow and I'm praying that your new dose gets you to your second (and beyond if you desire!)

I had two chemicals and am now 11 weeks pregnant and everything is great so far. My doc never did any testing (I don't know what my progesterone levels were) but put me on a low dose of oral progesterone and baby aspirin since getting this BFP to see if it would help. I'm not sure if it's the meds or just better luck this time, but so far everything is going well!

Glad to hear everything is going well for you Jess! My OB wrote me prescription for progesterone to take after I ovulate. Wether it is just luck or the progesterone (I only have control of one of those) I hope that I can get my rainbow and share my story with people as well. Congrats to both of you on your rainbows! Hope all is well!

I've had 2 chemicals and a dnc but have an 18 month old son between. my 2nd chemical was 12th may 2015. im on baby aspirin, b6 and large dose of folic acid xx

I suffered 3 chemicals and progrsterone suppositories seemed to do the trick for me.
