I hate to keep bugging y'all in the first tri section with 2ww questions but who better to answer them?? Plus I haven't gotten any response in the 2ww section so I thought I'd come here and ask.
Has anyone else had this as a positive symptom in previous pregnancies? I don't really recall it with any of mine but it's definitely a first for me in my 2ww.
Two days ago for breakfast I made myself a smoothie but it tasted really bitter when it should have been a little more sweet. I took 2 sips before dumping it out. So then I made myself scrambled eggs with cheese and it tasted funny too. It tasted too strongly of something but I can't quite figure out what it was. It tasted a little bitter as well. I forced myself to eat most of it but wound up dumping the rest.
Yesterday, I forget what I was eating but it just tasted blah, bland. Some other things tasted too sweet (a donut and Kit Kat bar, but tasted way sweeter than normal.) This morning my peanut butter toast tasted super bland when the PB normally tastes a little sweet to me. I don't even want to finish eating it.
However, I've been testing 3 days now and not really seeing anything. Used an IC at 10dpo, though my urine was a little too dilute-looking, I thought I saw a faint line but nobody else saw it. 11dpo testing with FMU that was so dilute it was almost clear so I saw absolutely nothing on my IC. Held for several hours and tested again later that day, thought I seriously saw the faintest shadow of a second line and several other people thought they saw it too. Tested yesterday at 12 dpo with FMU with an IC and a FRER, didn't really see anything. Held for over 9 hours while I was at work yesterday & tested on an IC & FRER when I got home but I don't think there's anything there. I kind of see a line on the FRER when I tweak it but sometimes I see it, sometimes I don't so I'm going to say it's probably not actually there.
But I can't knock the fact that my food tastes weird...
So I'm just curious if food tasting funny was a positive symptom for anyone else since it's a new one for me?
