3 dpo brown/pink discharge/spotting

So I finally had my first ever positive opk on the 5th around midnight right before the 6th. Based on my cvx and cm, I think I ovulated on the 6th. Today my cvx was medium height and hard. But when I woke up around noon (yes we're on a weird schedule around here), I felt really wet like I'd started my period. I went to the bathroom and wiped a good amount of brown mixed with cm (maybe ewcm not sure- did NOT attempt to feel it lol). The next bathroom trip not long after had a little pink/slightly red tint to it, then just brown staining the next time and by 1:30, there was nothing there and I've had nothing since. My cervix is now (2:45 a.m. on the 10th) a little higher and soft, but not much cm and I've had very negative opks since the positive one. EDIT: 3/10 cvx is now high and hard with lots of cm (watery?)

I've read a lot online and some people say it could be from ovulation, but wouldn't 3 dpo be late, and 3 dpo is a little early for implantation. I figure it's one of those random things but who knows. With my son, we were NTNP so I have no idea when we conceived other than according to my early scan I got my blaring positive hpt at 12 dpo. So now I wonder if it was so dark at 12 dpo (which is when morning sickness kicked in), if I implant on the early side. But 3 dpo is almost impossible isn't it? I'm just chalking it up to my weird body.

Has anyone else experienced this?? Thanks in advance.

I have no clue! But I am experiencing the same thing. I am about 3 dpo as well and my cm is slippery when I wipe, a couple times though it has been brown. ugh! so frustrating.

Thanks for replying. I hope it means BFPs for both of us. My bbs have been a little sore since O time and I've been having twinges off and on. Could mean nothing, could mean something. This is all unfamiliar territory for me, as I think it may have been as long as 5 years since I ovulated. I'd been using OPKs since about September and never had all the signs match up (cvx, cm, and +OPK) until this time (and this was my darkest OPK), so I'm hopeful. I've had dysfunctional uterine bleeding since my 1st period (except when on the pill) and it only got worse after I had my son 4 yrs 4 mo ago.

Me too! I'm 4 DPO and this morning when I wiped got brown discharge, slippery CM. This has to be too early for implantation spotting I reckon. Unless, of course, we all ovulated earlier than we thought (but I got a strong + ov so I know that I'm 4 DPO.

4DPO here (via OPKs) with scant red spotting and lots of creamy pink CM after having a BM. I have never in my life had this. However, I did start Vitamin B Complex so I don't if that could be it?

Needless to say, it seems you're definitely not alone!

same here started 3dpo i am now 5dpo and its much darker but not like af keep getting very sharp pains and af cramps ive been to my doc for tests today so ill keep you posted on what they find.

hi, i am 3/4dpo (i think i o on the 23rd CD16 was my only day with 2lines on opk - i only test once a day about 5ish) we DTD on the 23rd 24th 25th prob tonight too although i know its prob way past eggy time.
I noticed last night (26th am) i woke up early mornig feeling like i was having af type cramps in lower back, i have noticed today that i have been having them on/off nothing serious but they are there! No CM other than normal cm which i dont get too much off lately. I have never had cramps this early... could it be implantation this early?? i have been opk since sat but negative since.
ahhh am i reading too much into this.i cant help but think it could be but im scared im getting my hopes up!

My 3 dpo wasn't 3 dpo... I don't think I ovulated. I've now been back to my dysfunctional uterine bleeding for the past month... was spotting for 3 weeks and now bleeding for about 10 days. I have to call my doc back tomorrow (technically today) to see what she's going to do about either stopping my bleeding or inducing a real period, or both. I went on to have 3 more sets of positive opks after the 1st one and highly doubt I ovulated at all. I hope the rest of you have better "luck" with your spotting.

Hello...I have been lurking around the baby and bump threads for a while now, and this thread really caught my eye. EVERY SINGLE MONTH, I start spotting at 3 to 5 DPO. It starts out just like you all describe and gets thicker and darker by 7 DPO....did any of you find any info on these issues? My doctor is absolutely no help at all! I just wonder if it is even possible to get pregnant if I am spotting for 9-10 days every LP.
