I've had one hospital birth, and two home births I will be making it 3 home births by next year hopefully.
I will say I had a lovely hospital birth but I do prefer to have my babies at home, as its your comfort zone and you can have as many family members there as you like. You also don't have to leave your other children behind not knowing what's going on.
its very straight forward even if you have complications, I did on my second one and still had a health happy baby girl so I would still say a home birth is safe.
I went over due with all 3 babies and I also tried safe and fun ways to help bring labour on, the only one thing I would say that helped was evening primrose oil it worked wonders, even better then the sweeps but I actually could say my second sweep with my second baby did work to be totally honest.
Im hopping I don't go to over with this one only a day or two fingers crossed.

I am hoping to have a home birth with this baby. However I do have a placenta previa that I am hoping has moved up prior to birth.

have they said to you any way to help it move or do you have to hope for best. I hope you get your home birth its a great experience xx

No nothing I can do to help it move..just got to wait and see.

If it hasn't moved then it will be an automatic C section which I don't want.

awww I hope it go's the way you want fingers crossed for you hun xx

As long as the baby arrives healthy and safe it doesn't really matter how he/she is born. I try not to get too bogged down with any birth plans. Obviously I am hoping for it moving and having a home birth, but no point in getting upset over it.

I went to the doctors again and now he's telling me they might not allow me to have another home birth I was fummimng and the reason they gave me because its my 4th, I've had 3 healthy babies which 2 were at home I don't see why bloody not oh well must obay them lol xxx

What a ridiculous reason to give you, surely being a veteran would be a good reason. How old are you Kaytee? I am almost 40 and my previous midwive told me that i would be too old for a home birth.

hiya sorry i haven't replied computer has been broken, im 21 just turned in June.
My auntie was 42 and they said she was told old for a home birth but she's was naughty, she stayed at home till the very last minute in labour, then called the ambulance and got what she wanted a home birth, mad i know but i guess we know are our bodies. oh im aloud a homebirth they have finally agreed xx how are you doing any way xx
