Hi Ladies,
Just after a bit of advice despite me being there and done that before etc...

I am 32 and a half weeks pregnant with my 4th ( and final!!) baby.

My first baby (now 17yrs old!!) was born at just over 35wks - no health problems and came home with me weighing 5lb 10.
Second baby (now 11 yrs old) born at 32wks exactly by c section weighing 3lb 6 and had breathing issues - 6 wks in scbu etc but good and healthy now.
Third baby (now 8 yrs old) born at exactly 35 wks weighing 4lb 13 again absolutely fine, no issues and came home with me.

All previous pregnancies were premature due to my waters just breaking early. No cause found - and was told its just one of those things and just one of those ladies who dont seem to be able to carry full term.
I am classed as high risk this prenancy due to my history and my consultant has said he doesnt expect me to carry over 35wks, again, due to my previous history - and that he would expect to maybe see an appearance as possibly 34-35 wks. I have had steroid injections at 28wks as precaution to help my unborn sons lungs.
If I go again early and it is between 34/35 wks, although i understand we are all different, can anyone tell me through their own experience etc what I may expect?
I would hope if reaching that point and after having steroids any issues would be minor. Would hate to have to leave my LO in hospital. Last growth scan for him at 31 wks said he was approx 3lb13

anyone?
got in from work earlier and had a small amount of greenish mucus after going to the toilet when I wiped, wondered if it may be a small amount of plug starting to come away - so just a bit anxious thats all

sorry can't really give any advise on what to expect at 34/35 weeks as I delivered earlier but having the steroids can only go in your favour.

If you have anymore green stuff you should get checked out as I lost my mucas plug at 21 weeks but there was no green in it.

Good luck

Did you go get checked out? Hope everythings ok and you get further on:hugs: I had my 4th preemie 15 months ago now, so do know your worry:hugs:

Hi
Just been told it 'can' start coming away and Im to just be careful... Im closely monitored (lots of appointments etc). Had the worst nights sleep ever last night tho - my whole tummy appeared rock hard for what felt like most of the night - and it was pretty damn painful, not like normal BH - inc my lower back. I had a bit more of a show yesterday afternoon (no blood streaks in it and not green  ) I kept thinking oh my god no, not now and didnt make any phonecalls or anything as I kept telling myself it will tail off soon - which to be fair it did but did take a few hours... If it starts again today/tonight I may deal with it differently. I have another consultants appt tomorrow so will certainly tell her about it x

Thats good they're monitoring you so closely, good luck with the consultant tomorrow:hugs: Its good they gave you steroids already, my fourth was a 32 weeker and she had steroids twice and was only in NICU for 20 days:thumbup: My #3 was 33 +3 and in for only 10 days, again steroids ahead of time so I really believe that makes a massive difference:hugs:

How are things today? Sorry I can't help, as I had my daughter at 27 weeks but the steroids will definitely definitely help. Hope everything is ok and LO stays inside a while longer xxx

Hi Im not too bad thanks. Saw my consultant who was really lovely and really tried to put my mind at rest and stop me worrying. She specialises in problematic cases and so really knows her stuff
She said she didnt want to give me an internal as the mucas plug was starting to come away, from what I had noticed over the last week/ten days, and so she didnt want to disturb anything. She said with the strong history I have from previous pregnancies she does think I will probably go early again but Im not to worry about anything at all. She said the measurements from the growth scan I had at 31wks were really good (estimated at 31wks to be approx 3lb13) and with having the steroids and getting to even where I am now, if my waters go or I go into labour, he would do fine. She did she would routinely book me to see her again in 2 weeks inc another scan however, realistically, she doesnt expect to see me in clinic as she feels between now and then she will more likely see me on maternity ward. Im just really wary now - even to walk to school and back with my daughter, its like every step I take I get what feels like a sharp poke in my cervix ha ha - I can only assume its his head bopping around - athough when I get it, it can actually stop me in my tracks and I always think there will be a sudden trickle of water  Time will tell Im sure

Hi, can I ask you about your consultant appointments? I'm 10 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby and had my first baby at 32 weeks, my waters started leaking and then just broke, Alfie was born premature and weighed 5lbs 1, I've been referred to an obstetrician and wasn't sure what to expect from my first appointment, can you offer any advice with you being through it yourself? I'm concerned that my 2nd will come early too.

Hi sorry for delay - Had a bit of a hectic week or so... my waters broke thurs 21st June and I had my little boy the following day, fri 22 June at 04.59 weighing 5lb 7, at 34wks 5days.
Well my first appt was just like a normal check up really apart from I had steroid shots on the day too followed by steroids the following day in case/to prepare for another prem. I was then given more consultant appts to follow over the coming weeks and regular scans. I expect they will do similar for you to keep a close eye on you x

Congratulations on the birth of your little baby boy, I can't believe you've had another premature baby. I hope you are ok and I hope the little one is doing well. Have they kept him in? Thanks for your advice.

Hi congratulations on the birth of your baby. it sounds like u have what i have..... hypermobility which is where your body produces too much colligen . this makes your amniotic sac thinner hence why they break earlier. u will probably find that u are or were pretty flexible . you can bring your thumb back to nearly touch your wrist?? L have had three preemies . and now have basically no pelvic floor because of my condition .et me know how htings go.
