3 Trips to A&E in one year = Social Services?

my lo got took to a&e through struggling to breath with a cold and a week later i went to get him weight and my hv ooo ive been meaning to call you about the visit to a&e i asked when and she said they are informed of all visits

Wow...can't believe they would waste resources on accidents? Or is it only ones reported by the ER staff that raise suspicions? My daughter went to the ER many times with my daughter's first two years. She had a broken arm (fell off a balcony) and two concussions (seperate incidents) not to mention many hospitalizations with pneumonia, RSV, intusseption, all came in through the ER. If anything, doesn't it show that you are a GOOD parent by taking them to the ER or doctor? Social Services never contacted me (I am in Canada though). There must be some clear signs of neglect and abuse that they go on before they waste resources, no???

I've not heard of the ss being involved but I've never taken my lo to a&e .

I live in U.S. so am not aware of how things like that work over there. Here in U.S. I think it would just matter on the severity of the injuries and whether or not the parents/story seem suspicious to the ER staff and doctors or not.

My LO has been to ER for sickness not accidents/incidents so not sure. But I am sure you probably have nothing to worry about because those are minor incidents.

I took Aliyah to the docters as she had a fractured arm.
Next thing i know health visitors wanted to come round my house. I got worried too but it was all fine:)

We do send a standard letter out to the gp and health visitor or school nurse after every visit. Moreso so they know ESP if it's an illness so they can call n see how the little ones r doing I think x

I work in a and e and i would not involve social
health visitors will get an automatic notification to say you attended and may visit for the chat about safety catches and just check you are ok
All valid reasons for attendance i would not worry
