Hello, everyone!

My daughter is 3 in a week and has always been a fantastoc sleeper. Up until a few weeks ago she would go to bed at 7pm, fall asleep in 5 minutes then wake up at 7am.

However now, she won't go to sleep, she is up and down until 8.30pm or later and gets up around 6am. I woke up to her climbing into my bed at 4.50am today but it is 7am and she is fast asleep.

Any advice? I have enough issues with my eldest who does not sleep and I could really do with her not starting it too. There have been no changes in her life or to her routine.

Thank you!

Is she upset? Or just awake and not wanting to sleep? Has she maybe had a bad dream at some point and is now not wanting to go to sleep?

We have phases where ds doesn't want to sleep, then he was having nightmares and now it just seems to have settled down if it's own accord.

Valla's sleep has been a bit rocky the last couple of weeks as well. She was 3 at the end of Oct, and we switched her into big girl bed at that time as well. She naps on and off sometimes in the daytime, sometimes they are really short and sometimes a bit longer. She often wakes up sometime after 6am and has a lay in with me for an hour or so; I think she has been having bad dreams. She also often uses the potty at that time so that could be waking her up also. For the past half a week, I'm trying to get her to bed at 7:30pm rather than 8+ and that has been a struggle at times too; wanting to read a hundred books, cuddle, door open, light on; and a piece of cloth on her night light; the list goes on! I think it's developmental so I'm just riding the wave. :)

Sorry, no suggestions, but you're definitely not alone! I feel like she was a phenomenal sleeper from 7mo to just over 3yrs and now we are up and down. I'm wondering if it's at all linked to starting to drop her nap in the daytime.
