30 Day Shred... My knees!

Im on day 20 of the 30 Day Shred, but ive had to take 5 days rest. My knees are so sore. Im only 24 & ive never had pain before in any of my joints. I decieded to take a few days rest to give them a break. Yesterday (rest day 5), i took my son swimming, & my knees were killing me sqautting down in the pool! I thought the pain would if gone by now, especially with the water supporting me. I also noticed it this mornibg when i sit/stand up from the toilet. Its painful :(

I really dont want to stop doing it as i was seeing great results. Did anyone else experience this doing the 30DS? Is it going to do me permenant damage if i continue? Any advice appreciated. Thanks ladies <3
 
I had this with 30DS shred too my knees were really bad. I found it was because I wasn't wearing the correct footwear i was doing it barefoot. I had a rest like you and then started back into it and found my knees were ok but still hurting. I eventually switched to Jillian's body revolution which is great and I think better than shred and doesn't put as much strain on your knees.
 
You could switch out some of the high impact moves for low impact. Like jumping jacks, I find them a pain on my knees so I swap them out for punches instead. Or just ease yourself into the moves, you don't need to push yourself so much that you can cause permanent damage.
 
I've had problems with my ankles. If it carries on I would advise to have a chat with a doctor (better safe than sorry I always say). But as you're young it's doubtful there's a major issue.

The issue with me was foot wear.
