Hi ladies,
I've been on Nifedepine and strict bedrest since 27 weeks. Started having cramping/contractions at 23 weeks and was put on Terbuteline but that didn't do any good.
Now at 32 weeks I'm having SEVERE sharp pains in my vagina (like someone is literally cutting my cervix open) and have been cramping in low back and low belly for about 6 hours now.
The on call acted like I was an idiot for calling in and told me to lay down and take my meds **I DO THAT ALL DAY EVERY DAY**
Just wondering if anyone else is or has experienced this... SO irritated!

Hey Jeed123, ill comment!:flower:
its too bad you are on bedrest, i can relate, but you have made it to 32 weeks!
Did the cramping resolve??

I am on bed rest as well, as i have ruptured my membranes at 33 +5.:nope: I was leaking fluid for 5 days, went to the dr's and my water broke during a vag. exam, went into labour, it stopped miraculously in L & D, got iv antibiotics and steroids, sent home on strict bedrest after 5 days in hospital, and i will be induced in 6 days, when im 35 weeks.

I was getting strong cramping all last night too, but im heading in to the hospital for a checkup anyways, so i can chat with them about it. good luck to you, im sure you will make it all the way!! (even though its soooo boring!!)

Hi, sorry I never responded to this. Our sweet baby girl's heart stopped beating at 34 weeks. She was born sleeping on February 29th. We're now ttc again.

My heart breaks for your loss. We also lost our sweet little girl at 34 weeks. Take care!

With my son (now 3) I went into preterm labor at around 28 weeks and dilated to 3 cm. I then went into labor 2 weeks later and had to have Magnesium to stop the labor that time. Put me on strict bedrest and Nifedepine. Went into labor again at 34 weeks and stopped it. Finally at 36 weeks, they let me deliver because my cervix was too dilated. Gave birth to a 8#6.5 oz boy, healthy except for sleep apnea that kept him in the NICU for a week. Happy, healthy 3 year old boy now--never would have known that he was complicated!!! My symptoms were very similar to yours--sharp cramps and horrible low back pain. Don't rememeber any vaginal cramps, but I may have repressed some of the memories! I was constantly running to my dr everytime I cramped--the hospital bills were worth knowing that they were keeping my baby in there long enough.

To the 2 ladies who lost their little girls at 34 weeks, first I am so very sorry for your losses and if you don't mind my asking, what happened? I am 32 weeks pregnant with a girl and we have been on a roller coaster of a pregnancy which is finally appearing to smooth out. At 14 weeks we were told that my placenta was detaching and I was most likely to miscarry. Made that hurdle and found out that my uterus was retroverted (fixed that--very painfully!!!), then thought that an amniotic band was forming in the uterus (it receded), then was measuring small for her age. Now as of Wednesday, my 2nd appt with the Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist says that everything looks great and she is measuring in the 61 percentile. We were ecstatic with finally getting good news and now I am so worried that something will end up terribly wrong again.
