So as title says I'm 32 weeks was told yesterday I'm 1cm dilated and soft, and today I lost mucus plug, wiped and it was a glob of yellow mucus, wonder if ill go early ?

Im 1cm dilated but was told that after you've had one baby your cervix is often always 1cm dilated. I have been losing thumbnail sized globs of plug every few days since about 20 weeks and at 28/29 weeks I lost over a tablespoon of plug (which is most of it!)
I told my MW and doc and neither were concerned even though I'm at risk of preterm labour after DS arrived at 34+6. They said unless there is bleeding and/or contractions coming regularly, it means nothing. The whole plug can regrow completely in about 24 hours.

So while I'm not saying you WON'T go early, I'm saying try not read too much into it (as I'm not) because I figure it will just make the waiting harder. :flower:

I've been loosing plug since week 34 bits n pieces. It is true that women who have already had a baby can be walking around with up to 1 cm dialated through the whole pregnancy. I've had 2 kids already and have been a half cm dialated the whole time... as for the plug my doctor specifically said cuz I made sure to ask that the plug does not re-grow. People just thinks it re-grows for the women that have pieces come out. If the whole thing came out at once then its out. But for most women it comes out chunks at a time. Also, he did tell me once the mucous plug starts coming out DOES mean that there is some cervical change.... doesn't mean huge change but there is some change for it to come out.

So are you telling me I've had no plug the last 3 weeks? How am I still losing chunks of it then? I have probably lost about 1-2 cups full total since 20 weeks!

No I know it's not a huge deal, I was actually 2 cm dilated with my 1st last year from 25 weeks on, just wondering if since its my 2nd would I progress faster since it is my second they say labor and delivery is a faster process but I know there's never any guarantees ;)

My Mum laboured with me for 6 hours, and 24 hours with my little brother. So not completely true :)
