Hi everyone. I am trying to remain calm but having a mini-panic attack. My blood pressue is up, my breech baby weighs approximately 7.5 lbs and I am only 33.3 weeks. :(

I am trying to prepare myself for an earlier than expected birth, with the strong possibility of a c-section. I also have diabetes with sugars that are ok but not great, unfortunately they are also creeping up. My bladder is also taking a beating right now.

My pregnancy has not been a beautiful thing. I love feeling the baby tho just not on my bladder. Serenity now? And then what? Feeling freaked and trying to calm down. I also have a lot of pain in my pelvis so lots of rest time. Which is another thing, I have so much to do still but my mobility is limited. Sorry to whine, I am just trying to remain calm.

Awww poor you.
Sending you lots :hugs::hugs::hugs: But no advice, other than try and relax :hugs:

I don't have any experience of a big baby at that gestation but I do know what you're going through with the possibility of an early birth and a c-section. My LO was delivered by emergency c-section at 27 weeks and I knew for 2 weeks she would be early - stressed didn't even begin to describe how I felt!

I'm here if you need a chat.

Thank you ladies. I am trying to remain calm and devise a plan. Fortunately I have everything I need except a breastpump/nursing pads/diapers and wipes. I am making a list of things I should do now just in case I have to have the baby in the next few weeks. I am hoping since the critter is so big it is developed but not too sure. I have another appointment tomorrow and hopefully my blood pressure is lower. Trying to remain calm because I know stress does not help. It is still scary and I am alone, well I have my teenage son with me. Regardless, I want my mommy! lol

With my dd my daughter was estimated at 6lb at 32 weeks and was breach i also had a lot of extra water. as measuring 4 weeks ahead on fundal height too. I opted out of trying to turn her as that worried me. So was booked for a section at 39 weeks. I was told that my waters could go early. They went 16 hours before my c section. If you have any questions or want to chat then inbox me. try not to worry. At least they no about it all and can be prepared. My friend gave borth to a 13lb baby and they had no idea till she had him

I know it's easier said than done, but they may be able to turn himn or he may turn himself.

7.5lb at 33 1/2 weeks isn't overly huge, although it sounds big, so try not to worry too much. My second son wasn't breech but was born at 38 weeks weighing 10lbs, which is about in line with what your baby weighs now. I didn't tear or have any stitches.

My friend just had her baby delivered (induced) at 39 weeks because of GD. They scanned her weekly and terrified her she was having a big baby and he was 7lb 7oz at birth, so less than average.

:hugs:

Thank you for your kind words! I am feeling much calmer today. After some research and this thread I feel a lot better. I am just going to have to step up preparations and am fortunate to have a lovely friend who is going to help me out on the weekend. :D My little alien baby is still very active which is good but my poor bladder! lol

Big babies run in my family, my son was 9.5 and induced a week early. He was healthy as a horse, strong and beautiful. I am trying to remain optimistic and keep asking the baby to flip for mommy. Hopefully the baby listens better than my teenage son!

Thank you so much ladies, it is truly appreciated. :D

big babies dont run in my family but i have big woppas..my first son the MW said would only be 8lb when they scanned him and turned out to be 10lb13
2nd sons was 9lb13
and the 3rd son was born by c-section that i opted for due to lack of mobility ..he was that heavey i could hardly walk when i was going to sleep i cudnt move my legs at all it was like it didnt have any legs.. anyway he was born on his DD by elective c-section weighting 11lb8
now pregnant again im not looking forward to it at all under consulatant for big babies so hopefully i get to have this 1 a little earlyer to save my little legs

OMG! Those are some mighty big babies! *hugs to you* I hope this one gives you an easier time. I am struggling with the mobility issue too and have SPD. I hate that I snap, crackle and pop when I move. Soooo uncomfortable but it will be worth it in the end! Good luck with this new one. :)
