35, on Clomid TTC x 1yr.

Hello everyone, Im so happy to find this site. It would be nice to have the extra support from people who may have been through some of the same experiances.
Im 35 years old. TTC 1st child for a year now. I did have an ectopic pregnancy 4 months ago ( I was 5 1/2 wks along) in which I lost my right tube. It was also the first round of Clomid 100mg. I had an HSG, that came back normal. I waited 2 full cycles before trying to ttc again. This month I am giving the Clomid another try. I actually ovulate on my own every month, but my Ob/gyn thinks the Clomid will give me an extra boost given my age. I have my fingers crossed that this will be the lucky month, but can't help to have my doubts since I only have one tube (cuts my chances in half). I am expecting to ovulate in the next 2-3 days. Fingers, toes, eyes...everything is crossed!!!

I had an ectopic 7 months ago, lost my left tube. My doctor said that my chances wouldn't be cut in half though, he said that its not like 2-1=1, its more like a little less than 2. He said that my other tube would compensate for the missing tube on the left side if I ovulated from that side. Just wanted to let you know what I found out for a little more hope.

Thanks for the encouragement. I am on CD 14 now, still waiting for a + on the opk. Hopefully it will be soon. My first cycle of Clomid I had no side effects, this time around I have the hot flashes, been very emotional and the cramps are crazy. Just trying to keep telling myself it's worth all the discomforts.

Hiya mel and welcome to the site x

Ive just spoken to the nurse at the clinic and they are starting me on clomid. I pick up the script on thursday...feel quite excited to be honest lol. I ovulate on my own as well but im assuming theyve put me on it to give me a boost.
