Im assuming that at 37 you're considered high risk. How often are your OB appointments? Do you still go once a month or do you go every two weeks?

I think it depends on the practice and the patient. I'm not considered high risk at the age of 42 by my group of midwives. At 38 weeks, I've followed the same schedule as my other two pregnancies. I highly recommend a midwife over an OB practice. I'm in the US by the way. It also depends on any complications that may occur during your pregnancy or a multiple pregnancy. I haven't had any complications. I've also been told they won't induce at term only based on my age. However, if a patient develops high blood pressure or diabetes, for example, you may be seen more often.

Thanks for the reply.

How long were you and DH TTC naturally before IUI? I'm on my second cycle, officially. If after 6 cycles I don't conceive, would an OB want tests done straight away or...?

I was referred to an RE after 6 months. You'd probably want to get your FSH and E2 checked after 6 months of trying naturally and go from there. I wanted to start IUIs right away due to my age. We tried for 8 months naturally before our 1st IUI. You're a spring chicken though:-)

Ahh so nice to be called a spring chicken lol. Do IUIs hurt? I'm dreading even having a blood test done! Ha

For me, the IUIs didn't hurt.

At 37, your odds of conceiving naturally are very good!
