hey i went for a private scan today for those 3d pictures (have to go back though as baby was hiding and could not see anything at all!) and the woman told my baby was weighing 3lbs 11! i asked if this seemed big and she said it was fine but ive been googling (lol) and it says at 30 weeks it should be around 3lbs, was just wondering what everybody thought xx

Hey, i had a growth scan at 30 weeks and they said my baby was weighing 3lb 11oz and i have to go back at 36 weeks so they can keep an eye on weight of the baby, but my friend had the same and she was told at her 36week scan she would be having a 9lb + baby, in the end she was two weeks late and her baby was born 7lb, so i dont think its too much to worry about. xx

when I went for a 30 wk scan my baby weighed in at 3lbs 4 oz. They said it put him him the 43 percentile. So I think 3lbs 11 seems within the normal range. Keep in mind the accuracy may be off a bit, in addition to your due date. None of this is really an exact science, from what I understand.

My friend was told her baby would be born at 5lbs & she gave birth to a healthy 6lb 11oz...i dont think i wholly believe that they can tell

Hi hun, it is on the bigger side, but not by much. I had a scan at 30+2 and baby was 4lb 9oz at that stage which is huge. So I wouldn't worry xx

They are never accurate as i had a scan at 30 weeks and was told i was having a 9lb baby (yes i started worrying about how i was going to get that beast out).. She arrived a week late and at 7lb 4 but her clothes were massive so mum had to dash to tesco and get some early baby clothes for her (which she is still in at 8lb 8 and 6 weeks old).

The measurements were accurate with my son. Wondering if they will be right this time too...at 28 weeks my daughter was already measuring 3 lbs 9 oz...I go back this wednesday for a 36 weeks check on her weight. We have big babies in our family!

I think whether or not the weight is considered to be 'ok' or 'normal' depends on the booking in height and weight of the mother (which is what they use to work out your personalized growth chart).

I was told my Lo weighed just over 3lb 12 at my growth scan at 29 weeks, and when they plot that on my chart it's off the chart.

I wouldn't worry though because if they think baby is big they will keep an eye that they don't get too big.plus, as others have said, they can be out by a few lbs with their weight estimates xxx

hey here are my estimations based on regular scans as im high risk.

28 weeks: 2lb 7oz

31 weeks: 4lb 2oz

from what i gathered they tend 2 roughly put on about a lb every 2 weeks. roughly but 2 b honest they are only estimates.

this for me is great as 1st baby was premmie and only 1lb 9oz. so already 2 me this baby is hugeeeeeee. lol x

At my 28 week growth scan mine was 2lb14oz at 35 weeks he was 6lb1oz. Keep in mind though that these figures are only an estimate and can be upto 2lb out xx

My baby girl was measuring 3lb's 10oz at 31 weeks, i think the sex of the baby affects the weight aswell. Boys do tend to be a bit heavier than girls so keep that in mind but like someone else said they can be up to 2lb's out either way x

i think if every baby was the weight they were suposed to be, like on the website you looked at, it said 30weeks the baby should be 3lbs, then every baby would be born the same weight. i think as long as bubba is growing at a good rate and isnt too big, youll be fine.

I dont believe they are accurate every time ive had a growth scan they have been wrong bout what they think the baby will weigh at EDD so try not to worry x x

Our LO was estimated at 3lb 10 at 31 weeks and she was supposedly about a week ahead for her dates. (big head, short legs)

My scan at 30 weeks said 3.84 pounds...would calculate to an 8 pound baby which is a good size so I am not too concerned
