3rd baby & already engaged?

As the title says my baby is already engaged and its my 3rd, but it was my understanding that subsequent pregnancies dont engage til labour or near labour... so maybe im getting my hopes up but does this sound promising?
MW seemed optimistic saying 'here are the numbers for L&D - have you got your bag ready' and she also said 'hopefully baby will hold on a few days' (until im full term at the wkend).

Opinions pleaseeeeeeeee x

Don't want to rain on your parade! but I was told my baby was 3/5 engaged at my 36 week appt, and MW said it was likely she'll be early, then at 38 week appt, seems she's not engaged anymore! Looks like we were right to think that 2nd/3rd babies can go in and out of engagement right up until established labour.

Hope yours stays that way though! (if that's what you want..) I wish mine would hurry up.. getting impatient now..

Im pregnant with my 3rd and have been 4/5 engaged since 33 weeks.... i am probably fully engaged now but have no hope that bubs will come early

I was fully engaged at my 36 week appointment. My Midwife was shocked because she told me the baby shouldn't engage until labour with being my 3rd.

I've been having loads of Braxton Hicks lately & having regular contractions today, especially the last few hours, so maybe it's the start of things??

I'm also with my 3rd one and after today appointment my baby is just 4/5 so it's still not engage,and since week ago(when is was still free) not a big change,I'm not thinking that i will have my baby soon but getting more period pains,and i know with my previous one they were not engage till the day of labour. but my midwife is pretty sure i will deliver till my next appointment in 2 weeks time(where i will be 39w+3d),time will show I'm not in the rush though

Ive been gettin this period type pains too and loads of BH.... didnt know that was a sign though... is it ?? x

I had my midwife appt today at 35 + 3 days and was told head was engaged. I got a shock too expecting it to be much later with the 3rd. In the last few days I have felt a grinding pain on my bladder/pelvis when the baby is moving and period type cramps. I have been late with my other two so not getting my hopes up yet! Still not sure that I have ever had BH contractions in any of my pregnancies, or I have and haven't noticed!

I am on my third as well and baby has been engaged for 3 weeks now and I am already effacing .. I think its just easier for them to engage after the first one . My second I was 2 to 3 cm dilated by 36 weeks and engaged baby didnt come till 39 weeks even.

I was engaged at 35wks praying this means an early appearence but i doubt it very much
