3w+1d Been spotting for 7 days! Anyone else done this?

I'm a first time mommy & have an appointment scheduled with my doctor next week. But I was wondering if anyone else is having (or had) similar symptoms as me. I've been spotting dark blood for seven days now. I know dark blood isn't anything to worry about in most cases... but seven days? It's only there when I wipe (& not every single time) and the amount hasn't changed. My stomach has cramped a little & felt somewhat heavy but only like it would if I were having a period. I'm very early so I'm not even sure what the doctor could do to give me answers. Again this is my first pregnacy so I have no idea what to expect. Anyone have any advice or suggestions for me?

Can you see your Dr earlier? Maybe get your progesterone levels checked?

I agree with ssjad. I'd ask to get your levels checked. I spotted/bled/cramped for the first 10 weeks with my son and he's two now. I'd make an appointment. Spotting/bleeding isn't considered normal, but it is common and can happen for a number of reasons.

Checking my progesterone levels will show what exactly? This baby kinda just happened so I have done no prior research & really have no clue how all this pregnancy stuff works.
