3years of ttc!

fs= fertility specialist
yuh im glad my hsg was fine, just a struggle ttc with pcos!!
hopin 4 clomid in mya n help my miricle x

HI ladies. We have been ttc 2 years and 6 months. I tried 4 cycles of Clomid with no luck. I was at one point referred to a FS.. and they were rude to me over the phone so I never bothered. Hubby had a semen analysis and it was good. But now after a renewed wanting to try kick... I am wondering what my next step is? Do I just go to my doctor and say, "I want an HSG?" Or I'd like to try 'this' or what..

I'm only 22! I can't understand what's wrong-- all my bloodwork with hormones and everything was fine. I get frustrated a lot!

My old doctor got in some legal trouble and is no longer my--or anyone's doctor. Which was sad because he was an awesome doctor, just apparently a little bit of a womanizer! I had an ovarian cyst in December, which went away and now my AF is like clockwork. I am having a midwife perform my yearly pap next week. Should I ask her? Maybe she can give me a good idea of what to do next...

I was over at the regular ttc boards and I noticed most of the ladies are on their 1st-4th cycle ttc, or conceived after that long! I know some people are just lucky... but I thought maybe it is time for me to come and get to know some other ladies having the same problems as me.

hi whitbit :) if i were you i'd ask the nurse about it when you have your smear test done. she'll probably suggest you make an appointment with one of the drs at your practise. then you can talk it over with them. i'm sure if you explain you would like to be referred again thats what they'll do.

:o 21 weeks? wow thats a serious back log.... i'm really sorry you've got to wait that long, that sucks!

the spotting could be a few different things, all of which they'll look into when you finally get to see the FS. i was really stressed about the spotting i had, i was convinced something awful was going on so I know how you feel. this whole thing is such a waiting game, its really hard but we dont appear to have much choice.... chin up honey you'll get your bfp

Hi Missy - Ive already had an FS appointment last year where they just took some more bloods and she did a trans Vag ultrasound to see the lining of womb and said it was nice and thick and that my follicles looked fine. She never even mentioned a HSG or anything like that even though I told her about the spotting - I dont think DR or FS recognise spotting as a problem (but Im convinced it is).

Hopefully the acupuncture will make a difference (however been going for 9 sessions now and still no change - maybe it will take longer).

no i agree with you, i dont think they do take it seriously. i certainly wasn't taken seriously when i told them about mine. they did a scan and found my left ovary was full of cysts but then said i didnt have PCOS. i told them about the pelvic pain each month and they said it couldnt have been ovulation pain because it was the same side each month so i suggested endo (because of the spotting) but they said no because the pain wasnt consistent. they said they didnt think my symptoms warranted a lap.

*rolls eyes*

then they did the HSG and found the blocked tube and said that wasnt anything to worry about either HA you end up feeling like no one takes you seriously but you feel like you're falling apart!!

Well I have my HSG booked in for Tuesday at 9:30am - Couldn't believe it when I got the call. Such a relief to know things are moving at last!!

Hope you have a good weekend and enjoy the sunny weather!

excellent well done. just try and see the whole thing as a big step closer to your BFP and you'll be fine. let us know how you get on, we'll send you good (brave) vibes ;) haha

Whitbit22 - Iam guessing the process varys between countrys I knw it does between citys in Scotland, Am from Scotland, And our family Doctor referred us to our local fertilty clinic. There policy is to carry out tests, blood work sperm work, etc to element our problem, NO fertilty drugs untill we both have had all the tests and procedures to find out what is delaying our conception!

We know whats causing problems and have been advices on IVF, we have been told to think about it and come back in June with a desion.

HOPE THIS KINDA HELPS..?!?

Hello Ladies

Well I'm back from the HSG and am very happy. They told me my tubes were fine:happydance: So that's one thing crossed off the list! I have a scan booked in for the end of April, I'm not sure what that's for though but it's not painful so that's good news!

Thanks for the abbreviations, much easier to understand what everyones talking about now:flower:

Hope everyone's doing ok xxx

Hey a_missy!

Yes was very happy! :happydance: Really had it in my head that it was the tubes. I've heard that the HSG can make you more fertile for a few months, so will have to take advantage of that window now!!

I'm wondering what happens if I have the scan and that doesn't turn anything up. Do they then look at me more closely?

How are things with you? Hope you're doing ok:flower:

yep i was told that too and we fell pregnant the first month after my HSG so make sure you work real hard this month hahaha :sex:

i dont know what they'll suggest next if your scan shows no problems either.... hmmm well dont worry about that just yet! take one step at a time

urgh i'm feeling proper shitty tonight to be honest. i got AF today and i was secretly hopeful we would have got a BFP again this time. so i'll be popping the clomid again tomorrow and heres hoping try #3 works. PMA PMA PMA hahaha you have to pick yourself back up and start all over again dont you?

Get you, that is impressive!! I was quite good after Christmas but have now tailed off into doing nothing! I must get back into it, I agree it can make you feel a lot better.

Am now sitting here guiltily thinking about the Cindy Crawford video that i really should be doing.....

Owww chick

I'm sorry to hear that. It's such a downer when AF arrives and you know it hasn't happened. I'm a terrible one for being secretly hopeful. I don't know about you but I always start to cheer up a bit a couple of days later, hopefully you do too. It's so rubbish but you're right you just have to pick yourself up and carry on. ARGH!!!!!!!

Is that your cat in your profile? I always find snuggling up with mine helps a little bit.

:hugs: hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

:hugs: thanks and you're right, give it a couple of days and i'll be feeling much more positive again. at the moment it feels like yet another failed chance but soon it'll be the beginning of another chance to get our BFP sooooo... until then :coffee:

aww i wish that was my kitty on the photo!! its bloody gorgeous isnt it? we do have a cat, a female ginger and she runs the house, shes a proper queen bee and yesterday i was totally snuggling with her ;)

how are you this week?

It can be a bit of a downer..after having my son 13 years ago it took me not even one month and for some reason it has been 6 months of trying and nothing:wacko:a'int it funny you do all you can not to fall preg.because you are not ready and when the time comes for it to happen it seems that it might never happen

:dust: to everyone

Hey friend!:winkwink:

I'm soooo tired! But am very pleased it's nearly the weekend. Had to work late last night and that's never good! Think I'm starting to get obsessed with this forum, I was annoyed I didn't get to check in! I wanted to see how everyone was doing!

Am trying to work our whether it worth trying this month. I'm still on antibiotics after the HSG so probably shouldn't but at the same time I don't want to miss out! What do you think? I don't trust myslef to make decsions at the moment - My voice of reason has gone!!

OH has an appointment with the urologist now in mid May. Neither of us are quite sure what thats about but we're hoping that they are starting to look into the swimmers issue. So thats good news!

Are you feeling any better?
