3yr old has chicken pox and Calamine Q

I was advised to use Piriton syrup which really helped and the aqueous cream with calamine lotion in it. It's really cheap and helps to stop the scabs drying out which helps the itching and soothes the skin. My DS hasn't got any marks left from the pox but my niece has a few on her back and my sister didn't use the calamine cream until the latter part of the chicken pox as she brought some cooling cream that cost £9 and did nothing to stop the itching.
Hope you LO gets though it without too much bother:)

My kids had chicken pox in October (my youngest is 3) and I recommend :

1) piriton medicine
2) ready brek baths - not too hot (literally just a luke warm bath with about 2 full cups of ready brek porridge in it swished around in the water)
3) eurax cream

the calamine lotion didn't help very much, but yes, for reference, it is fine on the genitals and face if you want to use it.
